For TehKrush,
when you take over this mod can you PLEASE make the energy link have a toggle on and off.
when its just sitting there its going through my EUs and its not powering anything.
I realy like these mods. I think the biggest problem is everyone else has now created something similar. Buildcraft is huge and takes over from the conveyor belts, the machines are great, and will be sadly missed, including the powerconverters. Thanks for the mod, good luck with whatever it is you do.
I have extremely important information that has to do with Pam's mods and this mod. The EarthCraft section of Pam's mods has a recipe that is exactly the same as one of yours. To make steel ingots, you surround one iron ingot with four coal. Well, Pam's EarthCraft has the exact same recipe, but it makes one steel alloy. The ingots are nothing similar to your steel ones. I would really appreciate it if you would look into that. You could just change your recipe, maybe FULLY surround one iron with eight coal for you guys. Again, I would appreciate it if you would look into that. Thanks for being awesome modders!

I think it already does, just send an active redstone signal at it (ie: from a lever placed on it etc) and it should stop sending/using energy.
How come my block breaker doesnt work? I've wired it up using a BC redstone engine that is attatched to the side. I'm trying to break cobblestone (trying to make a cobble gen) . ??????I installed using technic packThe chomper is facing towards the block
I'm sad to see you go, this is a really good mod, and I don't want to see it fall to the wayside. But still, I wish you the best!
Could I ask you to do one thing before you do head out? Could you make a small patch to let the flax from RP2 and the rubber from IC2 (not RP2, gods no) be harvestable? I think other than that, this mod is completely stable enough to last through many updates :biggrin.gif:
@Mistersalt - You probably need to use a buildcraft redstone engine instead. Or, go into the Minefactory.cfg file and change it from using "buildcraft" power to "redstone" power.
Ok, I've been gone for a while - I decided to take a spontaneous vacation or something like that. That's not really important aside from explaining why I wasn't here. What is -
I am retiring from Minecraft modding
A couple reasons really.
First off, this whole actually having a job thing means I have way less time than I did before. Eight hour office job plus an hour commute each way (though I do plan to move).
Second, what spare time I have I'd like to spend doing something, I don't know, actually social.
Third, I'm just kind of burnt out, mainly due to remaining relatively unknown these past months.
So yeah. This is kind of sudden, but it's for the best for me to just pull out here rather than dragging things out with "but I'll update soon!" nonsense. Nobody likes that. For the mods themselves, I am turning the source over to the Technic team (and specifically TehKrush) who have pledged to update them. Be nice to them!
I won't be updating the mods here anymore, but I'll leave this thread open for any discussion about them that people want to have. It's been a great few months, and all of you fans have been wonderful, but it's just time for me to move on. I'll not really be watching this thread but I may (may) answer PMs and I'll probably be in the technic pack IRC because those guys are the best and deserve all your support.
Thanks for all the support and hopefully the game and its mods will only continue to get better even after I leave. Have fun!
Maybe someone else is experiencing this - I'd rather not use the technic pack (more than half of the "core" install option is just a bunch of terrible mods I'm not interested in at all) so I'm trying to get the ones I want individually - but I'm hitting an error when I try to install Power Converters on top of EE+ThaumCraft+IC2+BC+RP2

what throws me is that if I take out EE, they'll all run just fine. But as soon as I stick it back in my mods folder, I get this error.

Is anyone able to tell me how the jetpack refiller are supposed to work?
I got the latest versions of buildcraft, industrialcraft and powerconverters but I can right click (or hold it) on a oil filled tank, the jetpack in my inventory won't fill up.
Not yet.
