You can remove sound with any sound pack.
And hitting TNT doesn't work?

And, btw, I use GNU/Linux and minecraft directory is ~/.minecraft for me.

This should be included:
-Old Block hardness
-Old Tool durability
-Old fire spreading
-Old mob actions (Jumping mobs, Old Skeleton shots, spiders not capable of climbing walls)
-Old mob AI (No pathfinding etc.)
-Disable Sprinting (PLEAASSEE DO THIS!!!)
-Disable Beds (PLEAASSEE DO THIS!!!)

BUG: Indev flatland worlds (Lenght,Withd = 64) have no end! In old indev there was a invisible "force" that pushed you back to your area!

I just didn't adjust it (it was like a invisible wall, when it should let player walk 15-20 blocks, but sssslllllllloooooooowwwwwwwly).
But now it works like it should.
About translation: Just choose German language in game, mod translations apply automatically.

I tested it only on new worlds, so you are doing something wrong.
For walking for all mobs: later. I almost finished Indev generator, so I'll release it in few hours.

It's a major release and it's not tested well yet.
It has two major changes: Indev generator and translation support with EasyLocalization class.
And while second thing works nice (though only russian translation is available), Indev generator has some bugs.
Also I did not port it to server yet, because I want to fix bugs first.

Use this file as template. Of course, I'll give you credit (in readme and on github wiki page) if you'll translate it.
File should be in UTF-8 encoding and should have name de_DE.lang.
For encodings: If you don't know about it, then don't care about it.

About pushing: Just as you suggested on previous page, invisible force pushes player and other entities to finite map.

Entities now can't leave finite map, because invisible force will push them back
