There is no way to not use ModLoader.
First version doesn't use it, but I didn't update it to 1.8.1.
I'll make a non-ModLoader version for 1.9 when MCP will get updated.

Is the 1.7.3r1 version non-modloader-dependent? It looks like it is, since it's simply fh.class, while r2 and r3 have other files I don't recognize. I still run 1.7.3 for certain worlds, and this would be a fun addition for pure amusement; I just want to be sure it'll work.
