EDIT:
Found a bug , sometimes the terrain is generated good , but it's in the snow biome ( You spawn where let's player spawn, and it's snowing :/ )
Snow is not a bug, but a feature. There is same thing in Alpha. :smile.gif:
Chance that you'll get snow world is 1/4.
It was removed in Halloween update, with biomes addition. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7032/6694196653_b5c21d4b47_z.jpg (googled screenshot)
EDIT 2 :
I think that it's not a mod bug , but when you go further (on a new clear map with this seed ) than a brick house, the chunk's are generated slowly, i don't think that it's a mod bug, i think that the world is thinking that the world further that brick house is not yet generated , because it was generated in Beta , and the mod generator make's it all over again, but in the alpha generator :tongue.gif: .
It's a bug, it exists since very first version of InsanityBringer's NoBiomesX.
Alpha generator is slow, especially on water. All others generators are fine.

I mean, that when you start a wrold, that normaly is without snow, it's snowing, an the whole map is in snow . ( I found this bug when i started new world in creative , on alpha generator , on the Let's Player seed . The whole map was generated as it should be, but it was snowing everywhere )
Is this normal ?
BTW. Thank you that you put me in credits , i really wanted to help with my very bad English :tongue.gif:

Winter Mode was a randomly occurring map type for Minecraft Alpha. It was added on the 9th of July, 2010 and is the first "biome" to appear in Minecraft. Although behaving somewhat like a biome because it would alter the environment it is not a biome as they are today. Winter mode affected the entire world but a biome only effects portions. Worlds generated having this mode could not be changed back to the normal mode and vice versa naturally. Players could, however, force their savegame into Winter Mode by activating the SnowCovered parameter in level.dat using a map editor.
The Halloween Update disabled the snowfall effect and made Winter Mode obsolete (snow effect is still in game files), because snow is now area-dependent, as one of many biomes.
It does not depend on seed, it's completely random.
//Removed wrong Alpha generation from known bugs list, as it seems to be fixed.
Good news
The Alpha generator automatically regenerates the beta terrain in the seed , to alpha terrain.
In the let's player adventure's he sail in beta to see how the terrain is generating after the update . I go the same way that he go, and I got an alpha terrain, not beta terrain that i could see in the vidoe .

In new world?
If yes, it's normal. Alpha generator doesn't know about beta.
Hey, what if I created a world in 1.6 beta and instead of generating new 1.1 world chunks and leave a border, can you add an option that changes the world generater for a pre-created world so it wwont create chunk borders on my 1.6 world? Thanks

There are such options in configuration file.
Read about it in OP.

Nice video :biggrin.gif: .
One thing: to make them use texture pack texture, copy mob/char.png as char.png in texture pack zip, or disable CustomTexture in mod config file.
Can't wait for the Infdev terrain generator :biggrin.gif: . It's so cool :tongue.gif: .
Good news: it seems that there are already no chunk borders!
But there are some disadvantages of this generator: no caves, flowers/mushrooms and dungeons.
Do I need to make option to enable them?
Also: I fixed Alpha generator slowness!
And Infdev one is VERY fast.
Added: Trees are different. Other things are same. (generated world in infdev, then generated world with same seed with NBXlite)

It's *usually* without snow, but it *sometimes* (chance is 1/4) can have snow.
It's Alpha behavior. :smile.gif:

Good Luck if you are goining to work on the Infdev Generator
No problem , I will try to help you with Infdev bug report , when the Infdev generator will be released

It's work-in-progress on generator from Infdev from april 20.

It would be cool if you would make an option to enable them , but if this is too hard for you , you don't have to do it :smile.gif: .
So where to place button for it?
BTW: I accidentally removed tree location checking :laugh.gif:
