hawkztwofortytwo: You pointed out a pattern in the crashes, I see. I've been seeing that error a lot, and I've narrowed it down to two mods: World Tweaks and NEI. World Tweaks has dissapeared for a bit until I sort things out.
Minnymin3: That's odd, I'll look into it. Cherry trees basically generate like big trees from vanilla.
Orizon is a mod about different types of stone. A stone gradient, marble, and a nod to the old Mystic Stone mod. It also has slime pools and eventually a dream world - the Dreamscape - and used to have a bunch of ores.
So, I'm using NEI and I (think) I still find the old "cobalt", or "ardite" and a few other types of tools. Those ores sound pretty awesome (read about them on the wiki for this mod), but NEI doesn't have a crafting recipe, and there's not the ores anymore, or atleast what I seem to be gathering out of the Bold/italisized/underlined area, and my own experience. I also would like to point out that I'm probably talking total nonsense considering that I barely paid attention to the wiki page
The content post is looking fresh and new. It's got details on all the submods and fancy navigation and lots of pictures. InfiCraft is starting to look really good for 1.4.5!
I just found out about item lore today. I'll be adding notes on the abilities to tools shortly.
hawkztwofortytwo: Good to know. I need to do something else with World Tweaks now, it's causing me problems for other reasons.
gigarandom: I've yet to update Orizon's ores. They're on my to-do list (which is 3 items long) due to a large overhaul on how the ores display.
I've got some serious save-breaking ideas to reduce the amount of IDs consumed from 298 per tool type to 1. I'll keep you posted. It looks like the throwing part of the daggers are going to be on hold for a while, sorry 'bout that.
I'm also going to switch from .zip to .jar files. Shouldn't be a problem.
danky: I have an idea what's going on there, and I made an attempt to fix it. Redownload InfiTools and you should be fine.
Morias_Sairom: I noticed that Mattocks were extending the hoe instead of the tool while I was messing with tools. They should be enchantable now. My custom types do have different enchantibility than vanilla, and they do average out (80/20), so you may be getting some weird numbers.
Scraping moss off the stone would need another tool. Trying to grind it off would result in pain and loss of moss.

I can see what you see not, vision milky then eyes rot. When you turn they will be gone, whispering there hidden song. Then you see what can not be, shadows move where a light should be.Out of darkness, out of mind, cast down into the halls of the blind.
I just downloaded the latest version of both Forge and the InfiCraft modpack, and every time I try to start a new world for InfiCraft, my game crashes. I also have the latest version of MCPatcher. This one is from when I tried to open a creative flat world:
EDIT: Nevermind, I took a guess and was right, and now that I removed Randomobs it's working fine. Turned out to be an incompatibility between Randomobs and forge? I guess.

Hello. In installed Forge and got it working with Arcane Ascension. Now I'm trying out your mod. I downloaded the InfiPack and placed the zip file into my Mod folder but it doesn't appear when I launch Minecraft. Do I need to download your mods individually or do something else? Thanks for your help.

OK I'm embarrassed. I see now that I needed to unzip your pack and all the mods are within that. Excuse me being new. Thanks for such a great job!
The recipes in the OP are a bit of a mess now, but v0.3 is out. It includes a more sensible way to get redstone, glowstone, and slime tools, as well as crystallized lava. I also threw in a full set of shovels for good measure and fixed the bugs that TizNarniz2 reported. Once I get done with the hoes in a couple days I'll remove the [WIP] tag and then we'll really have fun with this mod. XD
For those of you getting the "Failed to handle login packet" with the "32000 > X," this is a bug with the 2x2 extended addon. Without it, you shouldn't have any problems. Talked to mDiyo last night on IRC and they know about it, so a fix should be in the works.
EDIT:

I have an idea what's going on there, and I made an attempt to fix it. Redownload InfiTools and you should be fine.
The problem with packets is in 2x2 somewhere. I can't seem to duplicate the bug, so I'll be trying things more or less at random. The most likely cause is a poorly constructed entity; I've removed the throwing daggers entirely from the mod for now.

FWIW, the problem only cropped up for me when I had ~30 mods running at once. I know I had Mo' Creatures, Backpacks, and Thaumcraft running at the time. Hope that helps. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I'm always up for bug hunting.
Minnymin3: That's odd, I'll look into it. Cherry trees basically generate like big trees from vanilla.
Edit: getting rid of NEI fixes the Orizon Stone crashing at launch but getting rid of World Tweaks doesn't do anything
I realize it is not the recommened version, sorry.
Getting this error from server when trying to connect:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: 32000 > 7394
I thought it may be an item with ID > 32000, but found none.
EDIT:it loads without 2x2 and hybrids
EDIT: Nevermind, I took a guess and was right, and now that I removed Randomobs it's working fine. Turned out to be an incompatibility between Randomobs and forge? I guess.

EDIT:
danky: Yeech, it's still happening? That looks like some mod trying to send one of my items, it's gone and done something strange. I'll investigate.
TS19: For the record, Forge can handle textures up to 128x and OptiFine has randomobs built in.
