My dogs really like to pick up toys in their mouths and run around with them when I get home. Maybe if your away for a set amount of time, they can pick up certain objects and walk around you all happy. Not sure if possible but still work asking
Glad to see that you're back and working! Good luck with everything.
Added suggestion for doggy animation: My dog Stella tends to simply hold one of her toys in her mouth and inbetween her paws, she sits like that for awhile when she's lazy, I thought this could be a unique idea for a future release, and could help distinguish mother doggies a bit more.
Make make them sneeze when near cobwebs? My dog sometimes when my dad mentions food he jumps and whines we call it the "pikachu dance" and yes my dog's name is Pikachu

How often do your dogs run into cobwebs in Minecraft, though?
I want a dog named Pikachu now.

Hoping to see this mod updated again after such a long time. Sophisticated Wolves is nice, but just isn't quite the same as this mod (this one was a lot better lol).

If you add puppies that are already tamed when born, they should be more playful and energetic! Dogs will also not be able to learn certain talents until they are grown up, for example dog sleds or fighting talents.
Dog Sleds are a great idea; my Husky would love to drag it all over the place!
May I ask where you got your husky texture? What I want to do is to make a texture pack for the Doggy Talents fans. Basicly what my idea is the only change will be the dog textures (though I might consider another idea along the way). There will be more than one dog texture, for example: Husky is wolf_tame.png and Border Collie is wolf_tame2.png. All wild and angry textures will be the same, due to Minecraft mixing them up, for example: When taming wild Husky it suddenly changes texture to tamed Border Collie. I will not be using the default wild and angry textures though, they will be more aggressive.
Success! I've managed to make their step sounds cute little jingly sound effects, using the orb and skeleton sound effects at a higher pitch and lower volume
1)maybe collars with bells on them ro make jimgly sounds
2)Differnt types of dogs such as pus and labs which can be ramdom when you spawn or make a wolf a dog
3)maybe a opition if you are playing mutiplayer with this mob on the server or whatever that your dogs will not attack a player if they hit you or you hit them and maybe make them also aid that player too
I have an idea. If you just use your dogs for decor(Or some other non-fight reason) then maybe we could have a dog-rope item to tether the dog to a tree or your house.

And just leave him there with nothing to do? Sounds pretty boring if you ask me.

Hehe...that approach sounds somewhat familiar
Go Raust, go! It's great to hear you sounding enthusiastic again

Sure, I usually use HD textures; There are some really fantastic HD textures done by Abra for a variety of wolves/dogs quite a while ago, in addition to a lovely black/white husky looking texture in Misa's texture pack. The links are:
great job, can't wait for update.
