The issue is that MC Forge modifies the same base-files as modloader... Normally this would break the existing mod however MC Forge has Mod Loader integrated into the files they both modify meaning if you install MC Forge after Modloader it all works fine.
However MC Patcher sees it as a potential issue so it throws up a error.
Or, you could just ignore it and continue the installation and be perfectly fine...
I get this error when using ic2, which forge version should i use? Mods loaded: 10

Pleeeeaaaaasee help. I installed 1.1 MC and installed modloader and audio mod i did everything then I copyed Forge just like said in the instructions and i get black screen at the start >.<
P.S i deleted META-INF too
Please help i can't install forge i deleted META-INF and everything, tried all the 1.1 versions but i always get a black screen... someone please help :sad.gif:
If you read the original post, it says that the Forge Team are in the progress of putting together a dedicated website for Forge. So, SpaceToad is probably busy with that.
For now, I do believe that LexManos is heading this side of the net until the site is ready.

Also I'm using the Magic Minecraft Launcher and it says under forge, 2 errors. everything else works fine :/
I'm trying to start up (update) a server for IndustrialCraft and other mods, but I am getting an error when I try to run it.
After some research, I found out that the problem was with a small typo in MCForge Version 1.3.1

hey Lex, the automated install.cmd where you don't have to press enter between cleanup.bat and decompile.bat causes cleanup not to run because when it asks, "Do you really want to cleanup?" it automatically presses enter and doesn't run, because you didn't say Yes. I hope I'm right and you will fix it :smile.gif:
the reason that the released one here(not on jenkins) is messed up is because that
Forge 1.3.2 have some inject version stuff that Lex add. Some windows user can't seem to run the 'mv' command so the ForgeHooks.java is not updated on these lines:
public static final int majorVersion=0;
public static final int minorVersion=0;
public static final int revisionVersion=0;
public static final int buildVersion=0;
the inject_version.bat failed to execute the 'mv' command so the ForgeHooks.java.tmp (which is the changed one by the inject_version.bat) is not renamed to ForgeHooks.java
Simply renaming the mv command to ren will not work either.
Basically, I diff, replace the timestamps in the diff's with 0. And strip CR's from the patch. Makes everything lice and uniform, and makes the versioning system not care about files that only change timestamps.

Please don't force us to use mod-buildcraft.com in order to find the latest Minecraft Forge, especially if you aren't going to tell us the actual version of each build. I realize it often doesn't matter and that we can visit the sourceforge site (although it doesn't appear to be up-to-date), but this feels like a bad change.

EDIT: I just happened to be looking threw the previous posts when i saw LexManos status thing. THANK YOU!!!
It looks like the link isnt working anymore D: (or did i miss something more recent?)
P.S i deleted META-INF too

Right, there. It says:
"Widow"
Apparently, it should say "Window"
Anybody got a patch or fix for this?
Here it goes again.
this is for noda
oh and by the way guys 1.3.2.2 is now out
the latest links will give you 1.3.2.2 and the recommended downloads will give you 1.3.2.1
Forge 1.3.2 have some inject version stuff that Lex add. Some windows user can't seem to run the 'mv' command so the ForgeHooks.java is not updated on these lines:
public static final int majorVersion=0;

Simply renaming the mv command to ren will not work either.
Lex, how do you make a patch file?
Do you just use diffutils?
EDIT: I found it nvm.
What settings/options do you use when you patch?
Basically, I diff, replace the timestamps in the diff's with 0. And strip CR's from the patch. Makes everything lice and uniform, and makes the versioning system not care about files that only change timestamps.
