also is it possible to create a block that has no collision, like a block that acts like air but looks like a regular block? Might be handy for a sort of redstone activated pair of blocks that when activated makes the blocks appear to dissapear with a transparent texture block. or for traps where the floor looks solid but isnt
Okay, I've deleted the semicolons in all of the files I edited. Now, the game crashes on startup, but the CustomStuffError log isn't getting filled up anymore. I'm not quite sure what to do.
//Syntax: input output count
//ex: 3 35-14 2
//3 4 2
//This smelting recipes let you smelt 2 red wool out of a dirt block
//Subitems only works for output 353 2000 1
Those are the only files I edited, aside from adding a candy_sugar.png to the custom items folder.
I'm not quite sure how to fix it. All I have installed on minecraft is this mod(with modloader+modloaderMP) and TooManyItems.

Yes it is possible and it isnt really a work.

You have to put the candy_sugar.png into minecraft.jar or into the custom stuff zip and you should download 1.6.1.1, otherwise the custom smelting recipes wont work

Oh, okay! I'll try that now.
EDIT:
Ugh, obviously I'm doing something wrong somewhere in the process. Is it possible that you could make a video explaining how to make a basic item?
And doesn't work, only the last one has a texture ingame.
So my question; is it possible to have objects with the same sprite to reduce sprite usage?
Thanks anyway
I will see if i can make this. For now you must rename your textures. One texturename can only used once.

Maybe i will make a video. Do have any entry in the customstufferror.txt?
im having a problem is this right?
name=blastrock
id=255
texturefile=blast rock.png
type=normal
light=1
hardness=1
resistance=2000
and the crafting recipe:
//Syntax: result count width height item IDs left to right ,up to down
//ex:35-15 23 2 2 3 3 3 3
//With this recipe you can make 23 black wool out of 4 dirt
255 2 49 49 49 49 1 49 49 49 49
this is how i want the recipe to look
#=obsidian
$=stone
###
#$# = blast rock
###
also in this line(35-15 23 2 2 3 3 3 3)
i know that 35-15 is the result
and 23 is the amount
and 3 3 3 3 is the dirt in the recipe
but what is the (2 2)?
thanks in advance for any help
The 2 2 means the recipe has a width of 2 and a height of 2.
Edit: Your recipe should look:
255 1 3 3 49 49 49 49 1 49 49 49 49
Between this two values your chosen block is generated. So when heightmin=0 and heightmax=128 then the block is generated in the whole height of the chunk.

Ok, just wondering, were do i place my item/block texture? In the item/block folders? I would appreciate some sort of video or tutorial. But anyway, have this :biggrin.gif:
I updated the files, but do I have to update the other files aswell?
like customrecipes.txt?
Because in customOre, there's new argument?
And one question left,
i think i've found a bug:
when I set the light to 1,
minecraft gives a blackscreen.
When I set the light to 0.987,
minecraft gives a blackscreen.
When I delete the light argument,
minecraft gives a blackscreen.
When I set light=1.0 ,
it doesn't give a blackscreen, no, it gives an error in customStuffError.txt
Look into ModLoader.txt. You're id is already used or your texture file isnt in the right place.

There was no customstufferror.txt, so I assume there were no errors. I really feel like I'm installing it wrong :tongue.gif:
Edit: Maybe your item id is already used?
As of now, the game isn't crashing at all. My item just simply isn't there wether I smelt to make it or I TMI it in.
I'm getting way to confused when I try.
Yes this is a bug. I'm working on it.
Edit: i fixed it. Download 1.6.1.2 and it should work.

Into the minecraft.jar or into the custoStuff zip.
The new version creates another description for that. Just delete this file and the game will creates the new file.
Edit:
write light=1
