If theres a single sand block in a any type of terrain that isn't desert, it will block snow, even if it's winter season, meaning if theres alot of sand blocks in a forest biome during winter season there will be a really odd looking gap where snow won't fall.
:wink.gif:
It's not a bug. It will not snow on places considered desert biomes, that are generated naturally. I've seen many of my beaches full of snow on winter, so it's only biome related.
"really odd looking gap where snow won't fall."
Minecraft is full of these tiny biomes, sadly. I hope Notch fix this in 1.8 =/
@HambusNF
The requirement is ModLoader + ScotTools OR Shockah's API. If you don't install ScotTools or Shocjak's API, the mod will work, but some blocks will behave strangely(like, diamond shovel on grass same speed as by hand).
There's a problem with this mod installed and how pistons function. Without this mod, a redstone pulse toggles the piston's state. With this mod, no signal is contracted and signal is extended, so it messes up my t-flip-flops :/. Other than that, this mod is great :smile.gif:.
1. This is fantastic idea. Basically look at the first few replies to this topic for my initial reaction.
2. But the list of bugs just goes on and on.
3. Bug report: the StartingSeason property isn't read properly. If you tell it to start in spring, the game crashes upon creating a new world. Console output:
Day: 0 Season:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1
at mod_seasons.OnTickInGame(mod_seasons.java:192)
at ModLoader.OnTick(ModLoader.java:1006)
at EntityRendererProxy.b(EntityRendererProxy.java:16)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(SourceFile:781)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
If you tell it to start in any other season, it starts in the previous season. Mods installed: Modloader, ScotTools, Seasons. Methinks you forgot to put a +1 somewhere?
4. Note to users of this mod: SAPI and ScotTools override different core Minecraft classes. For example, SAPI overrides fd.class, which is used by IndustrialCraft. Check to see which one is compatible with your existing mods.
5. Idea: have the player take damage in snowy biomes in winter just like heat damage in summer deserts, unless they're wearing a new item: warm vest (chest armour slot; does not protect from regular damage like armour does; does not degrade with use). Potential crafting recipe:
I have a strange issue with crashing... After installing Modloader and either SAPI or Scottools, or both, launching the game will cause it to load, run the mojang logo but then fail to load the main menu. Only the dirt of the main menu's background is visible, then the game simply fades to black.

Strange, the StartingSeason is working here but not there. I'll check that.
5. I think i'll add that, as you and another one said. :smile.gif:
Amazing, love this! i was so happy when rain and snow was added, and now...well...HOLY ****!! this is awesome! just finished playing with it and this really needs to part of the main game.
Would you make an option to have it snow over desert biomes as well. I terra-formed a large section of my map from desert to accommodate my castle, and it currently doesn't snow or rain over half of my area.
Does anyone here not use Aether (like me) that got it installed?
I just don't get it. I've installed hundreds of mods, But i can not get this one to work.
Is Modloader printing anything out? If not, might just have to get a fresh minecraft and try from scratch. I've had that issue before and its usually because I've buggered up installing mods somehow
So does this affect all biomes (Well, except desert)? Because I'd like to see the different biomes get affected in different ways, like rainforests not getting snow, or stuff like that
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The Emperor's Rage echoes through the hills. The Emperor's Strength grips this land with fists of iron. The Emperor's Courage burns everlasting. The Endless Army will crush the Emperor's foes.

ModLoader loaded everything fine, tried a new jar, as far as i know nothing is incompatible because it still did the same with just this mod installed. I have had problems with his more tree mod before.
Strange whenever I load the game i get to a screen like this
and then it crashes with no report...
My guess its either Finite liquid, or NatureOverhaul, or both.
This is the exact same problem I encountered, fresh install (with modloader and SAPI as well of course) and everything. I hope it can be solved, this looks like an amazing mod!

if they can work together im really going to be happy .
Edit: Nvm, It works, all praise the modders.
Thanks! I forgot a little check thing there :tongue.gif:
Will be fixed on next version.
