This is very nice and I aplaud your job well done!
I would like to suggest that you add features to make this work with (not just compatible with the nature overhaul mod, so that groth rates will change with the season.
Along with this, I would also recomend that new cold and fire elementals spawn when things get to hot and cold respectivly, (perhaps having a thick roof would cool down a house and having a netherack fireplace would warm up a house)and having weat take longer to grow, so you would plant in the spring and harvest in the autunm.
But mainly keep up the good work :smile.gif:
I use the yogbox and when i try to use water to elevate it just pushes me to the end of the water stream. Other then that major bug it's an amazing mod
I like the idea of being burned out in the hot sun of the desert (so much so I had to try out desert living) but it highlights a huuuuuuge issue. The 'burn' seems to be on a timer, but a periodic one. So you take a step outside and get whacked immediately sometimes. ACK SUN! NOOOOOOOO! *sizzle*
If it isn't, can it be switch to time spent in the sun? Perhaps have it decrease in the shade so you can't just 'shade hop' to reset it? Or better yet, once you have gotten too hot you'll need to find shade quickly, instead of just a hit/reset sort of situation.
Additionally, tweaking the actual time period that burn can occur in the desert would be nice, as you can still be hurt weeeell into the evening though the sun has mostly set and the moon is on the rise.
Might wanna remove that bit in the OP about downloading NBTEditor for changing the seasons. It's easily done by just opening the mod_seasons.cfg file in notepad and changing it there, and the less add-ons you have to download to play a mod, the better.
I went onto my friend's server and it is snowing on his sever everywhere including the deserts. We noticed that ice automatically regenerates and so we thought it was this mod since i have it installed. I went into single player and its spring there, any ideas? :sad.gif:
This mod doesn't play very nicely with a craftbukkit server, i had to remove the mod and the shockapi mod if i wanted to play on my server because everytime i had it installed, the server would refuse to acknowledge that i was a real person :sad.gif:
Still, with mcpatcher, removing and installing takes less than a few seconds anyway.
hey nandonalt you ever thought of adding hail, tornadoes and probaly blizzards? thatd be epic with the seasons mods, probaly add another level to minecraft.. i really love this mod, so survivaly
Always cold always cold always cold always cold cant stand why IS IT ALWAYS WINTER. I downloaded this in the yogbox and its always winter and the game goes down to around 6 fps which is almost unplayable I'm tired of it I'm sick of winter I'm sick of dieing and not being able to see because the snow is so dense. Anyone know why this is happening actually scratch that does anyone know how to fix it.

It feels longer, but isn't. My solution is to just mine, that way you don't see the snow, so you have more FPS, and it's better than letting your game run for 2 hours
Is there a way I can just disable the snow? It's really irritating since I spawned in the Antarctic and I can't mine because there's more ice than than stone and dirt combined. It's too time consuming to mine efficiently so I just want the snow to stop.
first, sorry for my english, i'm not sure to write just :tongue.gif:
Then, you can add a blue turban and a blue tunic like tuaregs nomad for protect of the sun and not take damages in the desert on summer?
I think that this is a good idea, like leather armor for protect of cold on winter.
In any case, this a realy good mod, good job. He is indispensable for the immersion :smile.gif:
I have been playing this mod recently on the YogBox, and I just have one thing to ask. Would it be possible to make it so that, in winter, it was not constantly snowing. I love the idea of seasons, and such, but it is not constantly snowing in real life. I would like to have some nice, sunny days during winter, maybe with harsher blizzards later on. The blizzards could maybe cause snow drifts - random piles of snow blocks. Of course, I'd still want it so that there is always snow on the ground, in winter.
Of course, I have no idea how easy/hard this would be to code, but I thought it would be worth a try asking, in hopes you may see it.
Either way, great job with the mod, it's a lot of fun!
I also, strangely enough, have this random snowy area right smack dab in the middle of my desert biome

So I updated to version 1.34.
One thing I'm curious of, is during the winter, why does the snow no longer 'kill' the grass/flowers/saplings?
Actually never mind, it seems only in one world I've had since November 2010 does it not work properly - it works perfectly fine in my 2011 save.
