you ought to be able to designate a "base" where clay soldiers will try to defend and their enemies attack also the ability to designate medics clay soldiers who will resurrect clay soldiers without using any clay balls even when in battle they wont fight and cant be given sticks but can wear Armour or use horses
also it would be nice if the ai gradually became more complex to eventually remove the need for human interaction with the soldiers
this is a great mod, and works flawlessly with the Aether and 8th blocks. now i have a private arena on a floating island that has small towns made with 8th blocks. excellent work yet again. one thing i would really like to see are trebuchets the soldiers can use to siege the enemy castles, then this would be perfect.

i think you should also add a feature that make them follow you if you have a colored wool of the clay solider color alignment in your hand [or some kind of special craftable item] and also add that they could build a tinny kingdom and if you give them resources they could advanced and within time build their own armies

Probably the best mod I've seen in this section. And also, I do have a few suggestions -
- Give them redstone, and they will have a power boost for a designated amount of time.
- Give them a piece of flint, and they will be able to break through dirt and gravel blocks. (I'd take them a bit of time, though!)
- (If the suggestion above is made) Whatever gravel they break, they will bring back to a team chest, and others will be able to use it as a ranged weapon.
- Maybe you could place the cake, and then the units would eat only one part of the cake. (It'd heal them as much as a 1/4 piece of bread, or maybe more).
- Instead of sugar being the only way for them to get a sugar rush, maybe cookies could be used as food and sugar rush in one.
I'd like to know if you're interested in any of these ideas, because I feel they may make your mod a bit better!

One of the most entertaining mods out there. Great job dude! Make little people with muskets and they stay in a formation so its like revolutionary war soldiers.
I recently installed this mod, and i must say i am really impressed. This mod is hours of fun!
i do however have a few humble suggestions, and I'd be delighted if you would hear them out.
I heard you talking about sharpened sticks. Rather than making an all new item, how about having them use arrows as spears? Sounds remotely plausible to me :tongue.gif:
Oh, and regarding ranged weaponry, I'd say let them use eggs/snowballs.
Maybe give them torches? It would probably require a dynamic light mod, but the idea of torch-wielding clay soldiers seeking out dark areas is quite cool, am i right? This could even make them very useful companions in uncharted caves and mines.
And a second little idea I've been contemplating: Burning the dolls in a furnace creates tiny terra cotta soldiers :biggrin.gif: They're larger, do more damage, and have more health than regular clay soldiers, and can use arrows as javelins rather than close-combat spears. Disadvantages would be slower movement, and they shatter when they're killed, and thus do not drop anything.
Actually, i got a crazy idea (Not to be taken 100% seriously)
full size terra cotta soldiers that can wield bows/stone swords! Craft clay lumps into helmets/chestplates/pants and burn the individual pieces of armor in a furnace. These are useless when separate, but crafting them together creates a player-size guardian that works much along the lines of a wolf, only more powerful.
clay helmet that hasn't been "baked" yet (I forgot: there's supposed to be a block of soulsand in the middle)
clay chest plate that hasn't been "baked" yet
clay leggings that haven't been "baked" yet
A suit of hardened/baked/furnace'd clay armor, ready to be crafted into a proud terra cotta guardian! (It's leather, but just pretend it's brick/clay!)

or a WWII version would be cool could have small shermans fighting mini panzers

What they need, though, is guns, boats, helicopters, etc.
And maybe miniature landmine fields.
