I had a nice idea instead of your fishing rod luring them to a point why not make an object that makes them group in one area like in the spider mod where you can flag them to stay in a spot
I just had a cool idea for this mod. Have you ever played Darwiniana+? In the game you can set any unit to an officer to make units go a certain direction if they are within a certain distance of that unit. You could use that as a way to control them more. And if you could control just one Clay man. Put them into Battalion mode and make them march until in range of the enemy.
I would love it if this was incorporated, at least when you put the mod into SMP. Speaking of which, once you add the mod to SMP, add it to Bukkit too. I want it on my server so bad, But I use Bukkit.

Now they only pick up sticks and leather after they kill another clay soldier, I can no longer armour them up for battle.. I can only armour them up after battle. :/
I have an idea for the mod. Maybe some sort of way to maneuver in or on water, considering the fact that soldiers cannot swim :blink.gif: . Maybe an a bowl boat or sugar canes like breathing reeds :ohmy.gif: . Also once official 1.9 is released the nether warts can make them resistant to fire and be able to float on lava (I wish I could do that) . Oh yeah, I had forgotten to mention maybe a skeletal warhorse that focuses on speed, but not health . Scientifically proven to have less health with no supporting structures and the fact it focuses on one function makes it a lethal and balanced mount at 75% health of a clay soldier :wink.gif: . I love this mod and hope you can develop it even further. Approve this post so he may consider some or all these ideas that I kept thinking of an inspiration :laugh.gif: . Approve!!!!
I've had yet another idea that if you give them that acts as a weapon in the left hand as a sort of AoE kind of attack that is basically magic to create . Hopefully this isn't implemented until the 1.9 Update because how will they resist their own flames? :cool.gif: . How I love this mod, and I'm waiting for it to go SMP, but I have an idea, why not use the Red mushrooms to make them grow larger??? Like half a human...
im sorry to bug you but ive downloaded this mod for 1.7.3 and then refreshed it for 1.8 and tried to install this mod again its not working i dont know why but i get the mojang sign but then it crashes after about 15 secounds of mojang sign plz help

And yet another largely demanded feature was the ability to control soldiers. Well, this is pretty much the best I can do! Use a fishing rod to guide a group of soldiers to a central location. I won't get into it, but adding the ability to control a soldier is both VERY difficult to do and causes LOTS of problems, mainly incompatibility with other mods. So, I had to compromise. As an alternate to this, you can also use a dye that is the same color as their team and they'll swarm around it.
Despite the overwhelming amount of demand for the ability to control clay soldiers, I will not be adding this feature. The requirements for such a thing to be possible involve massive amounts of edits to the original game files, a lot of custom code from scratch and more time than I have available. It would take a miracle for the mod to actually be compatible with anything else as a result. Therefore I shall not be making this feature and instead will focus my efforts on SMP and other creative additions.

you forget you could release it as an extra incompatible download just for single player, that you could work on once in a wile when your bored of doing everything else
thereby having two downloads, one that just adds the soldiers that is compatible with just about everything and one that gives you the ability to control said soldiers that you have to fresh install with no other mods to mess with.
also will ender soldiers attack mobs as well?

i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
1 suggestion is that you make it where pegasi(how ever pegasus is plural) fly 2 blocks high because in my fortress i make the fly over the wall and i never find them :sad.gif:
Bowl boats was my idea, and I realy hope Koda adds it, I was dissapointed when I learded they couldn't swim, so I came up with bowl boats.
Bowl Boats? I never thought of that, however I've always wanted helmets for them lol, but that be pretty cool.
