I have some bad news guys. Emyrk has been incredibly busy and has not had any time to concentrate on the mod. His other life priorities currently has him time-locked and he just doesn't have the amount of time or energy to continue further development.
We both really want to work on this, especially as it started to become a bit more popular, but without our dedicated coder, I can't push any updates through to you guys :/
So because of this, we are going to release our source code so that anyone can take up the project. Our only request is that future coders give us credit where deserved :biggrin.gif:
If anyone has any future viewer videos, I will still add them to the wall, and if anyone does take up the project (or even if multiple people do) I'll set up links on the front page.
Hey guys, my brother Emyrk and I come here to present our personal additions to minecraft. While our title is myrkmod, we would like to think of our project as being more "expansion-esque". The project begun with my brother's desire to learn java, he began looking into using minecraft to help him learn the language better. With my brother's desire to learn minecraft coding/modding, he drafted me in to help him with the creative parts of his mod and this is the product of our teamwork.

Who is this aimed at?
Survival Single Players
We have designed our mod to enhance the experience of single players who enjoy playing the game without "cheats" (no "/" commands). And while we desire to expand to SMP, we are currently aiming at those who play the game solo and enjoy the "survival/raw" version of minecraft and are looking for an expansion of their current* adventure. *you might actually want to restart your adventure for the mod to work correctly
What's is it?
This patch is centered around the block:
Fossil is the center of the patch. The rest of the features revolve around this special block. It is randomly generated slightly more common then coal. It has the potential to drop three items.
Droprates
Dragon Eye: 1/50
Dragon Fragment: 1/7
Bone: All other drops
These three items are used to craft all the items in this patch. So as you can see, the entire patch is centered around the fossil block.
Item Descriptions
*Bone items are an aesthetic alternative to iron items. We originally desired to make bone items more effective in combat, but it was too easily accessible.
*Dragon items are more effective then diamond, in both harvesting and combat.
*Each set has their own “Mace”. Each mace has a unique name (rather then Bone Mace) for aesthetic purposes.
*Bone Mace is as effective as Bone Sword
*Dragon Mace is more effective then the Dragon Sword
*Bone Armor = Iron Armor
*Dragon Armor > Diamond Armor
What is it?
The herblore patch is centered around the cultivation and usage of herbs and plants. Currently we only have one herb, yet we plan to expand upon the herblore patch in future updates with more features and items. But let's focus on what we have now. Let us present to you...
...not to be confused with anything else*cough* Toke is a famous herb for it's proven healing effects. Toke is found in the wild as a rare drop of tall grass. When you get the toke, you can use it to start your own farm and it will grow into it's own toke plant which drops toke 100% of the time (we couldn't get the toke plant to randomly generate in the world so this is why we are using these mechanics). In order to take advantage of these healing properties, the herb must be smoked* (possible alternate consumption methods in the future?)
But how do you smoke toke you ask?
We implemented a pipe system so that you can smoke your toke!
So how does this work?
Toke has beneficial healing powers when smoked. And the better your pipe, the more health you gain from each toke of your toke. So if you were to take a toke with a wooden pipe, it would heal considerably less then if you had a diamond pipe.
First you must treat your toke (new mechanic!):
Then simply load some treated toke from your inventory and equip your smoke device and right click!
Also, with the v2.4.0 update, we added Water Pipes! A single hit heals 1 heart and the water pipe has 3 hits a load. You can also load your roaches into your water pipe and use up all your saved joint droppings!
(Joints are useful because they heal a considerable amount of health but they only have one use and waste a lot toke. They leave behind a roach which is used in water pipes or can be rerolled)

LemonTwister Is designing the dragon model for us which we plan to add to the Fossil Patch.
Emyrk has been hard at work at trying to make an installer for our mod. Currently, this only works with macs as it uses the program "Automater" to assist you with installing your mod. Please be warned that this is experimental and that we are still trying to work out the kinks. If you have any problems, just let us know, but we would recommend manually installing the mod rather then waiting for us to fix the installer.
The automater EZ-Install will be located in the downloads as another mirror. Due to the amount of work put it, it will link to an Adf.ly link first.

Interesting Ideas, We might separate the dragon tools and Dragon Eye tools. That is a good idea, but for the more block types which blocks would you suggest?. And bone handles are an idea, I can change those pretty quick but I have to wait for my graphic designer to have the images ready.
We plan to add more crops to game. I am testing with one right now. It will act like a reed, but will be used to craft different types of food.
This mod is basically me learning code, everyone goes haha.

Here is a suggestion: Use Dragon Bone for tools and weapons and then use Dragon Eye for something completely different like mystical style objects or things like that.

I reckon a good addition to the toke mod would be when you consume it, the screen goes weird and warps slightly. That and burners, put it in and it lasts for half a minecraft day, have smoke graphic going above it and if you get within 2 blocks of the burner while lit it could cause the screen effect for a while.
Also I had a problem while installing the Herblore mod. It seems to be missing a png file

EPIC MOD .... but i have one suggestion. If you have at least 2 joints you should make it so that ur like trippin balls like you see a magic fox that attacks or something of that sort
I'm so sorry guys for the delay. Also I would like to add that our programmer is hiking in maine, but he will be back by thursday. Although I do know that there is a trick that might fix the mod if it doesn't work. Go into the images where "pipediamond(1).png is found. Duplicate the image and name the copy "pipediamond(2).png" without the quotations. That should fix the error with that. If the error persists, we shall have a completely updated version on thursday.
Also we want to add all these features that you guys are listing but our coding knowledge is limited, for those who wish to help Emyrk with coding, he is more then willing to work with other people to get the features they want =)
