I'm having trouble installing it. I tried installing it with MC Patcher, but it doesn't work. What do I do with the Jar file?
The jar file has to end up at ".minecraft/mcpatcher-mods/" (that folder does not exist by default). It should have been in the archive all along, however it was missing for a certain time.
im not going to like this, im going to find these ugly marks all over the place now if i used this. would be cool if I didnt have the marks all over the place :biggrin.gif:
All our lives... All our lives we have waited for this moment... And now, now comrades, it is happening! No longer shall we be frustrated by thinking we have mined the block for long enough, moving our mouses and finding we were a fraction of a second too early! NO LONGER! NO LONGER SHALL OUR HAUNTED HOUSE ADVENTURE MAPS LOOK TOTALLY UNHAUNTED FRIENDS! NO LONGER! NOOO LOOOOONGEEEEEEER! GO, COMRADES! LEAVE THOSE BLOCKS UNBROKEN, AND DO NOT RAGE! MAKE YOUR DESERTS LOOK 1337! AND DO IT IN THE NAME OF MOTHER RUUUUUUSSIIIAAAAAAA!!!
(then i must replace every block in my house if i hit them)
Why would you have to replace every block in your house? You can set it to only "remember" one or two blocks dmg if you want, and you can fix any damage instantly with a right click.

There is an automatically generating config file, to be found at minecraft/mods/MultiMine.txt. Inside, you can set how many blocks are supposed to be damagible at the same time, and the rate at which damaged blocks regenerate. You can also set your mining speed ratio in the config file. (default 1.0 = 100%)

After playing around with it, the only little problem I'm having with this is it harms doors when I only want to open them, other than that, it's a keeper :smile.gif:
I got used to opening doors by right clicking - else, while instant mining, you immediatly have the darn door at your feet
AtomicStryker, please please PLEASE add an up-to-date tutorial on how to do this on a Mac! I just can't freaking figure it out!!!

One time there was this one guy over the internet and some guy called him fat and he was all like, "I'm not fat, I swim every day." And so I cut in and said, "So do whales."
I'm not sure if it's this mod or ModLoader, so I posted in both threads just to be sure.
When running just your mod, this issue doesn't happen. As soon as I enable the new ModLoader for 1.0.0, the artifact you can see in the picture below appears. Also, it is in a stationary position, but constantly zooming toward me and then warping back into place.
Kinda inspired by Terraria? Anyway, if more people would make original mods like this one...
I don't need over 9000 extra ores; I don't want funky mobs in my world, they're lame!
Give me something like this instead! :cool.gif:
actually, in terraria you cannot do this. However, you can come back and mine/cut the same block.

This is pretty cool. Query: How does this help? And whatever you do, don't say "It makes the game more realistic". I don't want minecraft realistic. Go punch a tree and tell me how realistic minecraft is. But still, cool mod.

Once the mod jar is in there, run mcpatcher.

What might I ask are these symbols? They appear at two different occasions (To my knowledge)
1)While mining anything, the block under my cross-hairs has this symbol appear.
2)Sometimes it appears while placing a block, on the block being placed.
Fierce as Fire, Immovable as a Mountain, Righteous as the Light!
It's a rendering issue introduced with RC2 i believe. I'll check it out once MCP is updated.

it means he thinks it should be implemented into the game. just like Maps, Pistons, Wolves were mods before they were added to the game.
