That might even be the best approach :smile.gif: No files or plugins needed on server Side (i do not count the MotD :wink.gif:)and an easy way to handle. AND it can be made invisible by using the color codes. (e.g. zombe's: &f&f&2&0&4&8 for disabling cheats)

However for the minimap the conditions should probably be switched around to keep the "omg but what if server owner forgot to set the parameter????" people away.
So that the minimap- sub features only work IF a certain command has been set explicitly.
I don't think it should be disabled by default. server owners who don't use the map themselves but don't have anything against the sub features might not set the necessary command because they don't know about it or they are not willing to take the inconvenience of setting it.
If a server owner desperately wants to believe that a map which only shows explored caves and entities you also could see by pressing F3 is cheating, let them get active and set a command to deactivate it!
By the way, it would be wonderful, if the server owner could set a list of waypoints himself, which would be seen by the users of his server. (Server set waypoints may have another shape than the private ones)
Why is it when you switch the map to round, the square map still shows but the circle outline is there? It doesn't look right at all...
I just downloaded and installed the 1.3v version and the square outline has been removed when the round map is selected. There are other new features included as well which make updating this mod well worth it.

Might i ask, would it be possible to have the Entity Radar and Cave map enabled for SMP, but also have it check to see if the current player's rank is OP or something similar?
This could be a little helpful for admins and moderators of servers and also eliminating this aiding in griefing for normal players.
If the server owners are that against having a mini-map on their server, they can set the MOTD to disallow it. As a server owner, I have absolutely no problem with the entity radar or cave map. I would make it so that if there is no MOTD, the entity radar is enabled by default, along with there being a MOTD that doesn't include the code to disable it.
One small bug is that sometimes the map disables itself and resets to default settings. Not sure why this occurs and I haven't particularly noticed any pattern, although it has happened a couple of times while I've been descending a ladder into my mines (could just be coincidence).
Otherwise it's working perfectly and I love it! Well done to Rei! Keep up the good work!

Cave mapping and entities radar of the SMP is disabled by default.
When the server owner (using bukkitplugin/other) sets the key word to motd(login message), they become effective.
Please set the keyword to motd referring to the following.
