The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
I have had no issues getting the Mod to run but my way points from 1.6.1 do not transfer, I would really like a bit of help finding a manual way to move them for server and client. And I also don't play much without this map as most of my builds have as many as 100 points laid in for the purpose of building to scale. Thank You Very Much Rei
look at post #5904 and #5912, this way it works for me in singleplayer and in smp (tried vanilla and bukkit develeopment snapshot) i have no other mods installed at the moment.
Edit: works fine with forge 775 (installed via installer) and placed mods (rei's minimap + dynamic lights so far) in the mods folder (%appdata%/.minecraft/mods)
I read those, of course, and already did that, I even quoted the first in a reply I made. My point was that some people were unable to get it to work even after doing those things EXACTLY.
I found it to work after running in Single Player, then going over to MultiPlayer. COuld be the key

Check out the channel if you want, you won't be too disappointed, I hope :3
there seems to be an issue with the 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 versions of this mod.
After Adding in ModLoader and Rei's Minimap using McPatcher. the minimap does not show up if you select multiplayer.
but if you go to a single player world the minimap will show up.
also if you first log in to a single player world then log out and move to a multiplayer world the minimap will work in multiplayer.
though as soon as I "Quit Game" I have to repeat the same steps to get it working in multiplayer.
This is happens with an internal install or an external install.
Forge 776 is not good for 1.6.2, due to last minute-changes to 1.6.2 jar. You need Forge 777. That being said, I can't get Rei's mini-map to work. Here's where it goes wrong in Forge:

I suspect the last-minute change to 1.6.2 messed up Rei's code as well as Forge, and Rei will also need to rebuild the mod.
I have Rei's Minimap working fine on 1.6.2 (on an SMP server I play on) on OSX.
I had to follow the same steps as for 1.6.1:
Duplicate current version folder.
Rename to something (1.6.2 modded for me).
Rename .jar and .json files inside.
Change .jar to .zip and unarchive, drag and drop rei's files and delete META-INF.
Select all files in folder and compress into a .zip archive.
Change file type of archive to .jar and replace unzipped archive with it.
Create new profile (or edit profile) in Minecraft Launcher to use 1.6.2 modded, and done.
Is Sound Fix Mod dead, deprecated or otherwise not useful anymore or did you just put it on the "back burner" and forget about it? Just wondering this as the concept sounds wonderful, can never tell if that annoying zombie is above, below or ahead; also wondering if any possible future versions could make the sound "supper" (or at least a little more) efficient to prevent the lag of unloading sounds.
My apologies for the reliability of Google Translate. On my Bukkit server, I have "&0&0&1&2&3&4&5&6&7&e&f" in my MOTD. However, my wife and I cannot see other players on the minimap. Did I miss something when creating my server?
Hey, what mods are you two using? It's not part of Rei's. I get the same dots, but if I remove all the mods BUT rei's they don't show up. Want to compare notes and figure out which one it is?
Edit: Ok, figured it out on my own after going through the mods one by one. It's railcraft. It has an invisible block that it drops as you walk around. Used for their trackman goggles. Problem is, this invisible block doesn't have the same properties as air, which it should. My boats run into it, sand will sit on top of it, it prevents portals from opening, and who knows what else. You can disable it by going into railcraft and setting the block.hidden item id to 0. Best of luck!
If any one is having problems with texture's or MCPatcher and can't get the minimap to work, check the log in MCPatcher and see if it's trying to install into the 1.6.1 files instead of the1.6.2 files. Look in the "versions" folder (in the minecraftfolder--.minecraft for PC) and take out any folder that says 1.6.1 and rerun MCPatcher and it should work again.
I have just one small suggestion. Could you please make a border around the large map or have an option to toggle a border on and off? It's not necessary, but I think the large map would look nicer with a border around it, just like how the minimap has a border.

Question: If I have 10 ice cubes and you have 11 apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof?
Answer: Purple, because aliens don't wear hats.
Can rei's minimap do rendering (if this is correct word)? When you click X (def key) it shows only certain area and it changes when you go, is it possible to save all data of current whole picture? Just like jorneymap do it? I would like to see all places ive been in singleplayer.
I tried to use rei's minimap with jorneymap but the last one pretty glitching my game and honestly it's looks ugly but rei's map has very nice view and it's sorry i can't keep it in the memory. So, is it possible do thing like this on this mod? And if not, could i recommend add such thing? You can even keep it disable by default...
Seeking a bit of help. I am running Minecraft on a Mac with Mountain Lion. I have tried several different ways to get Rei's Minimap to work with Optifine.
I have tryed just opening the jar as a zip uploading the mods, compressed, and renamed to a .jar.
I a have also tryed using modloader.
I have had one successful installation of Rei's minimap, but that was with modloader prior to installing optifine. Once I installed optifine Rei's stopped working. The game would launch, but the map was gone.
I can get optifine working without a problem. Just having a headache trying to install Rei's!
I cannot go without optifine due to fps issues and Rei's is a must have once you have used it for a while. I had all of these working on 1.5.x.
Hello, I've got a little problem. Mods installed:
- ModLoader [1.6.2]
- bspkrsCore [1.6.2]
- TreeCapitator [1.6.2]
- Optifine [1.6.2]
and, of course, Rei's Minimap v3.4_01 (newest).
The problem is that minimap doesn't work. The map doesn't show, the shortcuts don't work. I think it may be incompatibility with the TreeCapitator. Does anyone else have simillar problem?
Thanks in advance
Has to be Optifine. Its the only other mod I am trying to install and I have the same issue!
