Hey, Rei, I've got an idea for a new feature for the minimap. What if you could add a function called "Enter the world seed manually".
Where do we need it? For example, somehow (doesn't really matter how), I got to know the seed of the world on the SMP server I am playing. So I can use this seed to use the slime chunk highlighter. But now I can't do it, because there aren't any ways to "tell" the minimap the seed of the world.
Or maybe I can already do it by editing some configuration files?
Uh, Rei, the download link appears to be broken for me. Whenever I go onto adfly, it show the continue button and when I click it, the page that comes up is a currency exchange thing or something like that. Please help me!

Sounds like you clicked the advertisement. Top right corner should have a countdown followed by a "Skip Add" button that will take you to the download.
Ahh thanks, know of any other mods that allow similar features that would display invisible players other than Nodus?
EDIT: Just had two regular players download the mod and it works fine on the server with no problems, I haven't added any of the exceptions from the guide to allow it. Any ideas?
You've confused me, You WANT to see invisible players or you DON'T want your players to be able to see invisible mods/admin??
Rei's won't show other players or mobs unless you put the corresponding strings in the MOTD for the server(can't do it with vanilla server). It will still show terrain and waypoints.
Otherwise I've used Minecraft AutoMap before, there's a 1.3.1 version but the author got fed up with Mojang and is waiting for 1.4 to update again.
If you are wanting to prevent players from using a map mod at all you'll probably need a server side mod. I'm not familiar with those really but I'm sure there is one.

I sent them an email detailing Mods to use since they had only used MC Patcher and Rei's mini map before...

MC Patcher (and add Mod the latest build of Mod loader, and Light loader for Macros/Keybind)

the person is apparently using an older v6 Java 64bit (unfortunately did even now that much till I got him to check)

Does anyone know if LoginMessage is still needed serverside for 1.3.2 to enable cave/entity mapping?
LoginMessage has never been required. The only requirement for enabling cave/entity mapping is that the server must display special codes to the player when the player logs in. LoginMessage is one way of doing that, but there are many other ways. It is NOT yet possible to display a the codes to a user on login without modding the server.
Just because it works for you doesn't give you the right to deny that it doesn't work for me.
I never claimed it worked for you. I was pointing out that it does in fact work with forge. You had claimed it did not. You having trouble doesn't make it incompatible. It means you've done something incorrectly or something else with your install is conflicting.

Anyway, I am using MCPatcher, and when I patch Minecraft 1.3.2 with nothing but Forge, then Rei's Minimap, then when I load up Minecraft, it gets to the Mojang screen but nothing happens, it just stays there.
I am wondering if in the next release there can be an option to mask the actual IP address of the server I am connected to. I could not find such a creature. I ask b/c REI spams it when you first login to the server and sometimes I stream while on a private server and don't need the hassles of it being DDos'd.

MCPatcher and Forge do not get along right now. Install manually, or MagicLauncher your way to happiness.
Nice done but other said that your navigation system is trolling D: like their example if there's a chicken in the center it can't detect it or it's just on the bottom of the tree or something thanks but nice mod

Seems to be an issue with the latest modloader and rei's minimap with 1.3.2. when both are loaded together, minecraft crashes startup. they work fine independently though.
btw to all that are wondering, mcpatcher works fine.
I'm conflicted, because MCPatcher is how I install Dynamic Lights.
If I'm thinking of the correct Dynamic Lights mod, the author says there is a modloader version. Use that. F*** MCpatcher. I never had a good time with it.
Just install Forge, then throw the Modloader version in the Mods folder.
