Hello! Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me step by step instructions on how to enable Entity Radar on my BUKKIT server? I have read the OP, but I just don't understand... I'm sorry if I'm just really stupid, but it's kind of a crucial thing at the moment, so could someone explain how to enable ENTITY RADAR and NOT cavemap? Just entity radar. Lol, thanks! If you are nice enough to respond, a PM or just a quote here will suffice.

You need to put the following color codes into a message of the day. This is NOT the motd field in server.properties, you must use a Bukkit addon that has an actual message of the day, something like Essentials, that displays a message to the player in the chat window after they log in to your server.
Once you install an addon, edit the file it uses for message of the day and add the following anywhere in the actual message:
&0&0&2&3&4&5&6&7&e&a
This will enable all entities but not cave mapping, as shown in the following key.
If you don't want some of these, then just remove the codes from the above string. For example, if you don't want to have squid show up as an entity, remove &6 from the string.
I love your mod, but I have some problems with it. My waypoints dissappear after some time of playing (on server). In single play I didn't noticed disappearing.
I think this is the problem:
Part of the purpose of client vs server. The server would have to store your waypoints for them to stay on after you log off the server, and most servers aren't designed to do so.

After putting this mod it crashes, before all my other mods work fine, so it seemes this is the problem.
I am having a major problem with the TropiCraft mod. When I add waypoints in the tropic realm, they work up until I exit out of the game. But when I load the world up again, all my waypoints are completely gone in the tropics. The overworld waypoints are still working fine. I haven't made any changes, and the only mods I have installed are TooManyItems, ModLoader, Forge, and TropiCraft (and of course, Rei's Minimap). Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't think this mod is designed to store waypoints in the Tropics.

Hello, I am wondering if Rei's Minimap impacts server's performance if people use them?
It'll request more chunks to load into the map however it wont be the same chunks as in game chunks. I mean technically if 50 minimaps where being used, it would equivalent to about 5-8 players or so?
Feature Request: A lot of SMP Servers have a reduce view distance of 5-9 (default being 10). We were wondering if you could add some kind of config in the client where we could set a view distance number so we don't see ugly cutoff border.
This is what it looks like logging in and not moving and letting the chunks load:
This is what it looks like when fly around again this is with under 10 view distance that a LOT of SMP servers use now.

This is a problem I have been waiting on a fix for since as far back as I can remember. It would be great if you could try to fix this :D.
I'm having difficulty figuring out how to enable the entity and cave mapping functions.
Sorry if that seems like an obvious question, but I am not computer savvy enough to know what words like SMP are our how to change the MOTD.
I was wondering if I could get some help and someone point me in the right direction.

*thats my assumption*
So that means it does impact server's performance for requesting more chunks? We usually have 3-5 people on daily.
1.) Does it require ModLoader?
2.) When I've downloaded it, it gets stuck at the "Mojang" thing, and won't load... Should I download the Mirror?
Awesome mod!
I have not used this in years. If you cringe at my comments, keep in mind I was about 9 when I made most of them :^)

&0&0: prefix
&e&f: suffix
&1: cave mapping
&2: entities radar (player)
&3: entities radar (animal)
&4: entities radar (mob)
&5: entities radar (slime)
&6: entities radar (squid)
&7: entities radar (other living)
If you don't want some of these, then just remove the codes from the above string. For example, if you don't want to have squid show up as an entity, remove &6 from the string.
This is clever. Didn't know it existed until I installed Tekkit. I like this mod.
This mod requires ModLoader.
It works fine on my computer. You installed incorrectly.

You didn't install Modloader.
