What the hell is the reasoning behind obfuscating all the relevant files for modding anyway? Seems a petty and vindictive movement by Notch back when he was actually contributing to Minecraft, and before he started screwing it up. Now that he's working on other projects and has stated that mod-compliance is a goal, why not just quit obfuscating?
tery.
I have 3 questions here. I'm a total rookie when it comes to mods and all that for minecraft. So here we go.
1) Will this mod ever be able to be used with Forge (Forge was super easy to install and seems to work fine)
2) When Will there be a 1.7.4 Minimap mod? Does that even matter? Or can i use the 1.7.2?
3) Why the wont it work with mod loader ((? I think i installed everything according to the video on page 1 of this forum but when I go into minecraft it just doesnt work.
Anyone know of a more up to date video on how to install modloader and the minimap?
Thanks guys!
1.Yes
2.Use 1.7.2
3.DOES NOT USE MOD LOADER ANYMORE
How do you uninstall this mod? It conflicted with another mod... When I dragged it out of the mods folder it just kept on appearing later on when I loaded minecraft.

I just dropped the 1.7.2 version of this mod in my mods folder. However, it doesn't work and appear in my mod list when Minecraft is running. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
1.7.2 isn't currently Forge compatible.
You'll have to do it the ol' way.

Feature Request: An option to toggle "Ignore Bedrock" like you can now ignore snow. This way the minimap would actually have something to show in the Nether instead of being gray.....
I get this crash report whenever I open the game with rei's minimap (1.6.2 version):

Glad you fixed it.
Rei Minimap has a problem with setting dimension IDs that are above 10 and below 0.
Waypoints will disappear sometimes.
That's why I use another Minimap mod, while I wait for Rei to fix this. (Don't think it will happen though)
Yes, you may.
However, you have to link this thread back and put Rei's Name.
(Main post has more information. (It's in quotes)
However, looking at your ModPack, you may want to change any dimesnion ID to 1-10
(Excluding the ID's that vanilla minecraft already has.)
Rei has a problem with dimension ID's that aren't 1-10
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated
Here's how it...
Someone hinted that I use the mod without permission. A link to the topic and thanks to the author I had. Some misunderstanding...
UP: With the dimensions I have no problems. Everything works. (Previously tested when not even published modpack)
tery.
You don't need to ask for permission,
It's in quotes on the OP.
The dimension thing was about waypoints, they dissapear sometims in other dimensions
1.Yes
2.Use 1.7.2
3.DOES NOT USE MOD LOADER ANYMORE

There ya' go.
But why don't you just use the Check for Update button?

You'll have to do it the ol' way.
I like to call it "BF"
BF = Before Forge.

EDIT: Howling_Wolves helped, it's okay.
All minimaps can't show that.
You're gonna need the world seed, which is not possible in Multiplayer, unless you're an admin.
