I love Rei's Minimap, I use it religiously. But... (yeah, there's always a but) when I'm in the nether, it's very difficult to find anything, no matter what I use, including cave mode. And what is with all those squares in keeps showing, when it's switched in cave mode? That doesn't even make sense...
But, it never shows the nether strongholds! In the normal world, the cave area can show mineshafts and everything, why doesn't it show strongholds in the nether? I'd really love it if he could tweak the nether map section in order to better detect/find useful things in the nether. Any possibility for that in the future?
Thanks! Please let me know!
I dont know if thats possible. You could use normal map mode but put the view at like 80y so you have a good chance of seeing some nethor brick on it. anything more then that is kinda cheaty.
I guess you could make it show all of a specific block, and make all the others invisable, but it could be used like xray. again, kinda cheep.
I'm having a VERY odd graphical glitch. Only one of my waypoints displays normally. The rest have corrupted text. The same thing happens in the nether, one works and the rest have the corrupted text.
This is a great minimap! I think some other people have mentioned that minecraft is crashing when using this mod. I only get the crash when using it with the Travelling-House-Mod-1.5. If I remove the traveling house mod then this one works and vice versa. Below is the crash report. Thanks for the mod!

This happens on default texture pack as well. Using ModLoader 1.5 and Optifine, launching with MagicLauncher. It may be Optifine, I'll screw around with the settings and update if I fix it.

Are you kidding me? "Cheaty??" Really???
I'm sorry, but Rei's minimap itself is one big cheat. You can see animals, you can see mobs, you can see inside of caves, and normal strongholds, and mineshafts. But see nether strongholds? Oh, no....we don't want that. That's cheating!
Actually, since I couldn't get what I wanted on Rei's minimap, I had no choice but to go to Zan's minimap. It's not nearly as good, but it does have no problem providing me with seeing the nether strongholds. I really wish Rei's minimap does do something to improve on that in the future. But until they do, it looks like I'm going to be forced to use the other one, instead. I guess atleast Zan doesn't have any qualms about showing where they are. It's a shame, really.
To the makers of Rei's minimap, I'll be keeping my eyes open for any improvements. Thanks for what you've done so far.

To read your waypoint, just disable all your waypoints and enable the waypont that you want. I mean, you must have only one activated.
It's a temoporary fix that i found. I hope they can fix it very soon.
Got a problem here. Every time i try to make more than one waypoint the text glithces out and is just a bunch of nasty looking white squares, as seen here. (left waypoint) please reply asap! ( i tried reinstalling minecraft and doesnt work)

Any plans to update LoginMessage to MC 1.5? I would love to have entity radar back on my server.
Thanks again!
I really need this fixed, its irritating and wasted an hour trying to fix it
I guess you could make it show all of a specific block, and make all the others invisable, but it could be used like xray. again, kinda cheep.

No, Optifine doesn't help. Rei needs to fix that bug. All we can do is work around it, until then.

How would I go about doing that/how do you open .DIM0/1/2 files?
Edit: Think I found a solution.. POINTS file, not .dim lol. I'm blind.
