I know Minecraft just got updated, but when will the 1.2.5 version be ready?
Don't need one.
If you use the manual install method, just delete your meta-inf folder and copy the 1.2.4 version back in. Working fine for me, all my waypoints are fine as well.
I've heard modloader will also work, but I don't use it so I don't know for sure.
Just use Modloader and move the 1.2.4 version files over to your .jar, it works fine. Jeb didn't change that much of the game from 1.2.4. Stop spamming Rei, it's not going to get the update done any more quickly, and YOU DON'T REALLY NEED IT if you are willing to take three minutes and patch your own .jar files.
I hate to say this, I realize making and updating mods is a lot of work, but isn't this why 1.2.5 was released as a snapshot before the main release?
That is true but remember Rei just like everyone else has a life.
I'll use the 1.2.4 release of this in the meantime, 1.2.5 is just a allot of bug fixes.

Version 3.0_04 (for 1.2.4) runs perfectly with the new 1.2.5 release! Go ahead and use that for 1.2.5 until the "official release" (which will probably be the same thing besides it saying 1.2.5 instead) comes out.

"that means you can quit bugging Rei..."
I tried installing the 1.2.4 version of the minimap manually on my 1.2.5 jar, and when I pressed F3 to check my version info, it said I was in 1.2.4. All the features of 1.2.5 still worked [eg lighting tnt with flint, ocelots not sitting on my crap] and I even joined a 1.2.5 server, but it still said I was in 1.2.4. When I removed the mod manually, it said I was in 1.2.5 again. There wasn't any problems really, though. Except no sound was playing. I think I'll just wait for the 1.2.5 minimap update.

<Demisedulous>Dude this is Minecraft, can't we all just be autistic together
The 1.2.4 version -should- work fine with 1.2.5 - one of the big things that Jeb is working on is mod support. One of the biggest problems with mods was that with every new compile all the class files were RANDOMLY RENAMED (because Notch hates mods). Looks like this step in new rollouts has FINALLY been removed.
... cuz they wanted to know what colour they showed up as on Rei's Minimap?
(It has an option to show mobs as dots on the minimap, and the colours vary depending on hostility and whatnot.)

Awesome mod.

I use Mcpatcher too. Do the modloader first, then rei's, then the patcher. Ignore the conflict message and patch anyway, it worked for me.

edit: Sorry, after switching off Peaceful I found them...they're white dots.
And this has to do with Rei's Minimap mod how?
