I am also on a mac and usually install mods through terminal. If you've seen this before, any feedback can help.
This Minimap would be more awesome than any minimap ever, BUT it's not acceptable that the entities radar isn't enabled on SMP. It would be a better idea enabling by default and making a server addon for blocking it..
I'd just like to ask if you've heard of Spout Which is a sort of new server plugin / minecraft client, the idea of which is that possibly in the future we will no longer need mods on the client side.
However the spout client doesn't allow mods so I thought to ask if you would be willing to also, if you can of course, make a spout plugin that allows the use of your wonderful minimap mod on the server.
I don't understand spout. However, I may make plugin when I felt like it.
Quick question: is it possible to modify the entity radar to have it also highlight certain blocks? I'm thinking something like showing mob spawners on the map, to find dungeons, for example.

Cavemap and Entities radar is not enabled by default on SMP. And I will not change it.

You should at least try this one, I used to use Zan's, and then I switched to this and loved it right away. There are actually A LOT of VERY useful features that I'm sure you'd like.
All I'm saying is you should at least TRY it, before you decide if you're gonna stick w/ Zan's.

I've been wanting to have players show up on a map since..forever. So if anyone could enlighten me on how to do this..I'd by a happy guy =)
Up until today I was using Zan's Minimap, but found this one and its extended options.After testing the general features and the overall performance, I must say I really like this one a lot. Zan's is a good mod, but this one beats it by a mile!
