How to Enable Cave mapping / Entities radar on SMP
Cave mapping and entities radar of the SMP is disabled by default.
When the server owner (using bukkitplugin/other) sets the key word to motd(login message), they become effective.

I have been looking for a replacement minimap for quite some time now. From reading the OP and looking at the pics, i am looking forward to giving this a try. Nicely done. Downloading and bookmarked.
This minimap looks awsome, and if it really is fast processing as it says in the description then im going to replace my minimap for this one right away.

Awesome mod! The graphics are great! I actually saw a increase of fps improvement from Zan's Minimap to this one. Im gonna use this one for a while :biggrin.gif:
In singleplayer, if I have the map set to round, I get these weird comma looking things in between each letter of my text. Makes it a little tough to read signs. Setting it to a square map removes this problem.
There's no way to fix it in multiplayer. Even disabling the map from the options won't help it.

I really like this mod; however, I have a few suggestions:
1. The map overlaps TooManyItems when you open your inventory (See image below). A simple fix to this problem would be to make the minimap automatically hide whenever you open the inventory.
2. This mod saves its settings in %APPDATA%\.minecraft\rei_minimap it would be cleaner and more consistent with other mods to save the settings to %APPDATA%\.minecraft\mods\rei_minimap (Also it would be nice if custom key bindings were in this folder)
3. This is more of a personal preference, but i find the cross hair on the round map is too thin. It is difficult to see during play. This is a quick fix in Photoshop.

I have been looking for a replacement minimap for quite some time now. From reading the OP and looking at the pics, i am looking forward to giving this a try. Nicely done. Downloading and bookmarked.

There's no way to fix it in multiplayer. Even disabling the map from the options won't help it.
1. The map overlaps TooManyItems when you open your inventory (See image below). A simple fix to this problem would be to make the minimap automatically hide whenever you open the inventory.
2. This mod saves its settings in %APPDATA%\.minecraft\rei_minimap it would be cleaner and more consistent with other mods to save the settings to %APPDATA%\.minecraft\mods\rei_minimap (Also it would be nice if custom key bindings were in this folder)
3. This is more of a personal preference, but i find the cross hair on the round map is too thin. It is difficult to see during play. This is a quick fix in Photoshop.
