I'm looking into OptiFine support quickly (since a few of the people interested in testing have claimed that they can't run without it), and I'm at a loss: There's three optifines. I'm not sure how much work it would be to support all three, so which version is most popular with the people? I'll ensure that the one that is the most popular will be the one I do all testing with, with maybe minimal testing on the other versions.
So, a reobfuscation error with MCP's thrown the entire project off track -- I can still compile and run the source, but all obfuscation sources fail horribly, often resulting in every class in the game being reobfuscated. I'm going to try to see if the classes I do want will actually work in an official jar eventually, but for now I'm just too demotivated by a huge source of factors. This will definitely delay the updates by at least a day or two.
Sorry guys... I screwed up terribly somewhere along the lines, but hopefully I can get it fixed. Not tonight, though, I'm too demotivated to work on the project ATM... :/
I don't really mind bumps as long as they aren't blatant and spammy (I've had a few people just bump my thread with no real content other than "Bump!") and the person doing the bumping isn't getting themselves in trouble :tongue.gif:
And with a new morning, I have more motivation to do some actual work... As soon as I get breakfast, heh.

Got it. :wink.gif:
Heh, I can't eat breakfast. I feel full in the mornings.
I can understand your impatience. I'm sick of this thing being unreleased myself.
However, when I opened my MCP folder this morning, things changed instantly. Lost motivation again and started moving to other projects, like implementing a savefile system into my dungeon crawler.
There's some time tonight though, so I can potentially evalulate what had gone wrong and see if I can get things working enough to create a prerelease. My reliability is not to be trusted, though. Haven't been having the best weekend for a few reasons ATM.

I understand the feeling completely. ^^; After all, I'm the very same way. I have to have motivation to do something. And even then it's hard for me to do something. :tongue.gif: All I can say is: You're doing a great job, and based on your list previously posted, it seems almost finished!
Not much happening. As I mentioned in my previous post, my GFX card has exploded and it's now nigh-annoying to do anything that involves testing ingame features. I will see either tonight or tomorrow if I can at least get the thing running. If this works, I'll release this as the testing build. It will probably be prone to random explosions and they'll be bugs here and there (not really), but I figure since I can't do the testing myself, I'll have to let others do it.

Sad to hear about your graphics card, I too am getting a new one when I can, but thats only because it's not really what I wanted... Great to hear you're releasing a test build, though. Thats going to be awesome I'm sure.

I will, don't worry. I'll get around to it eventually, maybe even tonight, depending on how well my current development on my dungeon crawler goes.
I'm sorry for working so slowly (and I'm sorry for apologizing too much!), but I want to finish this thing up in the near future. It's been un-updated for so long and I don't like that.
This is simply epic. Alpha's world generation was way cooler and more realistic IMO, no giant spires randomly spawning and nice rolling hills everywhere. I hope you can get this updated soon, this is by far the most epic mod ever. I don't understand how post-halloween players think Alpha's generation was bad.
Also, I have a suggestion for the future. why not make birch and pine trees spawn occasionally like giant trees do? Some people might still want birches and pines in their legit worlds.
But on a more helpful note, this mod is great. The way the Alpha generated its terrain was amazing. This mod brings back so many memories and I'm really glad you created this. Hopefully you finish this mod!
Hey, InsanityBringer, do you know if this mod is bringing back the Far Lands?
It would be cool to have the benefits of less-buggy physics AND the wacky terrain of the Far Lands, unless bringing back the terrain brings back the bugged physics.
Also, can I have a look at the source, as long as I don't distribute it?
"sometimes, wizards are so awesome, it hurts"
Anyways, I think I'm done now, and I'm going to do some local testing before sending off prereleases to those who asked.

I'll gladly test. ^.^

All. I. Need. To. Say.

Keep on keepin' on!
