sorry dude, but people should just learn how to mod, not use this, it is a good start though, i got into modding by using Make my item, but modding is really easy :tongue.gif:
You're an idiot. You probably don't even understand my code. You're an amateur and are trying to make yourself feel better by putting down others with your 'skill' at coding. I'll guess you don't even know what a HashMap is (until you Google it because I said this lol).
is the first time I see this mod, so I ask, is it possible to create tools, weapons and armor made of wood? and please do not think I'm crazy, I know there are weapons and tools of wood is just that I use a mod called premium wood which has several types of wood (some with seemingly magical properties XD)
finally, let me know if you can make items made of wood

I'm adding a crafting feature so as soon as it's done, you'll be able to
This confuses me o _o I made my own ore and material and stuff... but like, it wont get added to the game! Here is a list of what I did
1) Made the ore code
2) Made a new Material
3) Added that material to the new ore
4) made new sprites how you normally would
5) Added those sprites into the jar
The mod works and stuff, I see the Magmite and stuff, but my own ores don't get added. Did I miss something? Cause like... I don't understand > > These are the Code lines I added

he means that it would be cool if this were an actual program where you could drag and drop stuff to make a block.
i love the mod as it allows me to make new stuff without relying on some block mod which adds the most awesome blocks with the silliest names, or block mods which add a really awesome block and then add really stupid content (like the Uranium Mod, awesome, but it can turn cobble into obsidian and it has a paxel. NOOOO)
however, i can not get this to work properly. i "coded" an ore block, set tools to disabled (exactly as you described it), added the corresponding Material, added textures for both, placed them in the correct folders, copied the sprite folder to the Jar, launched the game and used TMI to get a block.
now this all goes splendid, the block has the correct textures, the correct name et all. but then i touch it with a pickaxe, and the game crashes. i have no clue how to get an Error Log, it just freezes and dies.
additionally, when i create a new world, the progress bar gets up to like 5% and then i get a Saving Chunks Error.
i even refreshed my game, with a fresh Jar, Mods folder etc, installed Property Reader, installed Modloader, installed this, then copied my modified /Mods folder and copied the sprite folder to the Jar. and i get precisely the same problem.
how do you make it so you can use it in minecraft? I don't understand.
what part precisely? you put the files where he told you to put them, read the README, and it all becomes obvious.
reading and patience solve 99.999 percent of all Mod-related problems. infact, it solves 99% of minecraft problems, some 90% of all modding incompatibility problems, and answers over 80% of all other questions. read. read read read read read. in fact, in the IC thread "read OP" became a standard answer to the vast majority of all questions. to the point where the poster hid the download link in the last > of his <<<<DOWNLOAD>>>> line and put it directly in the Changelog, with a massive red font which told everyone to read the Changelog. yet still hundreds of people were confused.
the lesson: the OP contains more information than you know. so do README's, as they're called that for a reason.
i do have a request: could you add a Spritepack with the iron/diamond/redstone/lapis ores in various colors (not the rock but the ore part itself) so i don't have to painstakingly alter them myself? i'm not exactly what you call a pixel artist. same for Ores and Gems
EDIT: Nvm, I got it

Don't worry about it, I'm almost done with 1.3 which includes an editor to add ores even easier. It should be out late tomorrow.

strangely, your default blocks work fine
