i have an Issue with the Server Version of RopePlus. It seems like it doesnt read the DJosline/Block_and_Item_IDs.properties. (Yes, Server has privilegs to read/write those files) Instead it uses the default BlockID (what's not that bad i just had to reassign a IndustrialCraft BlockID). Just wanted to inform you about this issue.
Check your server modloader log, perhaps you will find a file not found error in there.
The files in the sourcecode folder go into the minecraft.jar right?
And your instructions confuse me... they say add everything in the "add_to_jar" folder to the minecraft.jar but... I don't see any forlder called that.
Thanks for picking up 303's Arrows. Though, I may have found a bug:
Arrows go through mobs/blocks between a 1-7 block distance. I've tested it with all the mod's arrows, and they all go through them at close range. Hope it's not only me dealing with this bug!
Seems I'm not alone in having my game crash when trying to load with this mod installed.
Black screen and then it closes before i can get any info on why. Modloader is installed. Other mods installed and all working. I put the (client) ropeplus.zip in the mods folder where some of my other mod files live which might be where I'm going wrong.
Anyway, upon removing the ropeplus.zip file from the mods folder the game springs back to life so I can only imagine there's either a conflict with one of my other mods or my computer isn't powerful enough to use this mod. Interestingly the zipline mod also crashed when I tried that.

Someone else reported this too, but on my local server it seemed fine. I'd say horrible Minecraft Netcode and lag.
I have some feedback for you: this mod is fantastic, and functions perfectly. I really enjoy using it to explore the Aether, especially the grappling hook component. However, one thing that could be improved is to make the ropes behave like a ladder, in the sense that when you press and hold Sneak, you should stop automatically descending, to allow you to cliff side mine, for example. If this feature were added, this mod would seriously be perfect! Once again, well done!

Which rope exactly. The 'wall' kind or the 'ceiling' kind. Because you _should_ stop when pressing sneak.

Well the grappling hook rope, so I suppose the wall kind. However, the reason that it doesn't work properly could be due to other mod conflicts, but since your mod doesn't modify any core files and is 100% ModLoader compatible, that doesn't seem like a reason for it to malfunction.
people... learn to read the modloader scan. seriously. its says "basemodMP" notice MP. now think, where do i recognise that from? and what is one of the few mods that scans for MultiPlayer Compatibilty and other stuff that i dont reallly know about. MODLOADERMP. I am beginning to lose hope in humanity :sad.gif:

Maybe my computer is just allergic to rope?
