is the world flat even when i go on 500 meters away? is it flat all through out or will it generate a new world on its seed?
anyway its helpful when you want to experiment but has limited flat space :smile.gif:
can this world be moved to the normal world? Like copy and paste computer's files?
Because i want to have a flat generate-able world without moving anywhere :biggrin.gif:
if you want a flat world on your normal world use MACE generating. uncheck all the boxes and generate :smile.gif: that will generate you a flat world. but it only goes so far.
You know if you want a flat land there are plenty of flat land maps out there you can download and load up.. Some grass, some stone, snow, etc. Idea is nice but... Just do a search in the maps forum for flat maps or flatgrass maps and you'll find a bunch.
World Painter also lets you make flat maps of any size and depth with ores or caves if you wish (as well as 100% custom maps) and save them as custom maps. Or edit a map with MCEDIT of Single Player Commands and make a flat world.
Nice try, but I rather have it take me to a new exiting world rather than something I can just load up as it's own map or take a minute to make myself. (like my redstone test map ^^:wink.gif:
Edit: This post was made when the mod was still published as a 'this is a whole new dimension, a real serious mod'. Before the OP got the hint from the stuff I pointed out and that others also pointed out, that there's a lot of flat land maps that are already out and how easy it is to make your own.
So he edited the topic to instead be a 'this mod is just an example to make a new dimension and was such all along!' I don't see why he'd feel the need to hide what it was to start with. It was a nice try at a mod and well coded, just the idea of a flat map wasn't to keen.
SIGH, this is mainly an example of a new dimension with code for beginners to use. it is 100% for infinite and beyond, if any one wants any help using it to make a dimension pm me.
rofl, Nice. So you figured out that a flat land world wasn't a good idea so you edited the front page to say it's for an 'example how to make' mod. (shame someone quoted your whole original post before you made the edit)
Ah well, good try. For such a 'example' yes it is nice. Making new worlds seems to be the hype now that the aether is going strong. If it had been posted as such from the get rather than a 'serious new world' you may not have had such a negative review at the start. Though it is a bit discouraging that you try and hide the fact that you had made it be such.
You know that could lead to a lot of issues with new people coming in not knowing such and doing the 'I'm going to quote this person and ***** at them for saying this is bad/being an idiot thinking this was a real mod'.

Just saying.
Hey, I personally am using this as a 'real mod.' With the cities and walls mod installed, they carry over to the flatlands which makes for an interesting effect -- no errors with terrain so far more cities than in the regular minecraft world. So I can ratchet cities down and find them very, very rarely in the regular world but semi-frequently in the Flatlands.
Now if I can only get help to access the Sky Dimensions in the same way...

There isn't anything bad with it. If you found a fun use god for you.
My issue is that the OP did publish this as a 'full real mod' as you can see on the top post on page 2 with someone quoting the whole original post. But the OP didn't like the negativity and tried to hide that he did intend it to be a real mod by editing the first post to say that 'all along' it was meant as a example mod. That just isn't cool in the least.

thats ok, yes i did release it first as a mod for people to enjoy, but when i wrote the mod it was just a milestone, a base for me to make my other dimensions on. and if you want i can add edit marks to the op too, im not trying to undo the past. i'm just changing the main reason for this mod. I would also like to point out that i a have had a lot of pm of people want to use this as a base, or want help using it as a base.
Hello, :biggrin.gif: I heard a video saying that the mod creator (you) needed a better sprite for the teleporter, I was bored so I decided to help you out, if it's not what you're looking for I understand, You can use it if you want, you don't even have to give me permission :ph34r.gif: But I hope you can use this if you want to improve on your mod, here's the link to download, You can think about it if you want, http://www.mediafire.com/?x7wwa4l6wr44v2v
are you going too add something too the mod like making ores spawn and like that or just keep making more dimensions they are better when there are no new tools :smile.gif:
Gave me a black screen and a error screen that said something about modloader. I deleted META-INF, and btw, I HAD a few mods until I downloaded it. I had to delete my .minecraft folder. Thanks alot... I had Koda's Clay Soldier Mod, TMI, and Modloader. Oh, and I had SPC.
Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink! Good luck.
make a NEW download link.

nope because the far lands are based on noise errors... this doesnt use any noise.
