Okay, more dinosaurs is obviously a way to continue.
But how about....i dont know....making the dinosaurs grow to their actual size over time? Like making a raptor as big as the player, a huge triceratops, and other dino's sizes, but it would take a lot of time, and it would need new models to fit with their size and age, so its just an idea for now, there are other priorities
But it would make the mod much more extensive and it would be a deeper approach to simulate life through the dinosaurs by seeing them actually grow and change as they go with the player, something that has never been done in minecraft before (or just a few times).
Anyways, great mod :laugh.gif: keep up the good work! :wink.gif:

EDIT 2: You should think on adding a Dinosaur with a ranged attack (there has to be a way of fighting off Ghasts)

In fact,we are working hard to make the dinosaurs grow into correct size in real life. Would you like to see how big a raptor can grow in early versions?
In new versions,raptors are only allow to grow like about half of adult's height.

In fact,the AI in future version might surprise you.We have many interesting plan about it.
I really liked the concept of this mod, but raptor riding? this is going to be one of those motivitonal posters where you see jesus riding on a raptor and in the background theres a huge rainbow made out of cotton.
I would like to see some more logic in this mod, like raptors not being tameable. However, friendly dinosaurs, like most vegeterian dinosaurs could be tameable and ridden on.
It's just like the vanilla concept of minecraft that EVERYONE loves, there are some friendly animals, and some that wishes you nothing but harm. Breaking that concept may be a very bad idea.
I would also like to see to see a bigger base of dinosaurs, add 3 more dinosaurs to the mod so that people have some diversity, then add more clever behavior to each of these dinosaurs, BUT my biggest concern is still that smart and agressive pack animals, like the raptor can be tamable, which is why i will not download this mod, it just seems so out of place. It's basically like i would be able to tame a creeper. Just doesn't work :blink.gif: .
Well..Raptors do listen to you,since you are the first one to see when born from egg.
But they are easy to betray too.A simple mis-attack will cause whole raptor group betray you and tear you up.And in this case,they are no more re-tamable.You should try that :wink.gif:
Dinosaurs do grow bigger,too.But they need time to grow. :wink.gif:

I have found quite a big glitch...
When a raptop targets a slime the minecraft crashes and the world becomes corrupt!

Edit:Ok,I've re-upload the patch.But it's a untested rush patch since i have no idea how to make a slime out for testing.(I've never seen it :blink.gif: )

Oh okay, then i've got another idea. When Raptors have been betrayed, they will not despawn, instead they will roam from where they were betrayed, and 300 blocks further (i think this is code-able) so this way you have a chance of finding a hostile group of raptors, which can always be a fun experience.
Now, to the real challange. I would like to see a Brachiosaurus walking the face of Minecraft. This should be a BIG and tall mob (when fully grown ofcourse) Standing from the surface of Minecraft this mob should be quite tall and this is a very friendly creature. No other mobs will attack this friendly giant because of his size. In order for this dinosaur to surive there will have to be plenty of trees around, as this giant actually feeds on leaves!, But when it's still a baby, you would have to feed it with wheat, as it has not grasped the concept of eating leaves. Google Brachiosaurus for pictures of it, cool eh :smile.gif:?
Dinosaur behavior tweak:
Dino's needs to be fed to survive, especially when they're still babies, as they would usually rely on their parents for food. A waterhole [4x4+ hole filled with still water] needs to be atleast 100 blocks away from the animal, as the animal needs to re-hydrate once each 48 hours ( 2 whole minecraft days ). You could also add drinking boxes that you could craft by combining iron ingots like this:

This is a model of the crafting table.
The = is a iron ingot
The o is an empty slot
Having a drinking box means that the animal can be 400 blocks away from the drinking box and still be able do rehydrate, OR the animal would be able to go 4 minecraft days without having to drink, either ability is a great add on for this mod IMO. .
If you do not keep the dinosaurs healthy, they will walk away and despawn OR you'd have to re-tame them somehow, altough this should be hard, caring for animals is very important :smile.gif: .
As you can see i'm very excited about future features that this mod could have hehe :biggrin.gif:.

I hope you guys don't go too crazy with realism, especially because carnivorous dinosaurs tend to be the coolest and it'd suck for them to be completely untamable.
