This has happened to me. I think I might know why they died but this is just a guess. I think when they get bigger they aren't able to fit under the trees to eat the ferns.
Hey flammarilva, anyway you can add a knockback to the ancient sword?
That crossed my mind as well, so I pared back the trees, leaving only a canopy about eight blocks or so above ground so there would be plenty of room below. Despite this, the triceratops still seemed to be unable to eat the planted ferns.
It's true that I can feed them with wheat if need be, but unfortunately this means they're quite high maintenance, since I need to stick by them constantly to make sure none of them are going hungry.
I think I'd support a toggle to turn hunger on/off as well. I believe this is the option that even Notch was considering taking for a future update (a hunger toggle for the player, that is).
Ok i gotta say i agree with the Megalodon idea,Now the only prob i could see with this is the size,The T-rex grew to around 40-50 feet long and it is good sized fully grown, now The megalodon grew to 60 feet wich means that this would be the biggest Mob in this mod and thus would require very large waters for it to move freely.
so quick question. i noticed that the zombie pigmen that you get from hiting a pig with the sword and while wearing the helmet follow and protect but how do you give them orders?
Also, people. Your lack of scientific knowledge depresses me. Giganotosaurus is not Charcarodontosaurus is not Tyrannosaurus. Tyrannosaurus was a North American coelurosaur, Giganotosaurus was a South American carnosaur, and Charcarodontosaurus was an African carnosaur. Spinosaurus is not just the largest because of it's spine, it was also longer and far FAR heavier than all the other large theropods, but that certainly didn't mean it was stronger. It was a much weaker creature that preyed on 10-foot long fish.
And lioplurodon was definitly not the largest carnivore ever. It's size in the BBC movie Walking With Dinosaurs was greatily, greatly exaggerated.
Anyway. Here's some suggestions that I think might be simple and interesting to implement into the mod:
Since the raptors in this mod obviously draw inspiration from Jurassic Park, I think they should be able to open doors and push buttons and pull levers at will. Perhaps they could even be ride-able, since they're usually friendly and would easily be intelligent enough to learn.
And I think the Triceratops shouldn't grow so large, or be so hard to take care of. Mine either starve very quickly, or grow absolutely gigantic and don't move at all, and starve.

Hello! I was wondering if someone could help me out with the installation of this mod...
You see, I've tried to follow directions as closely as possible, but every time I load Minecraft I get that ol' black screen of death. I always delete my META-INF folder, so no problems there, and I don't think its conflicting with any of my other mods, according to that spiffy new thread that lists many of the mod incompatibilities.
Would someone take the time to explain to me in a slightly more detailed way than the topic provides? I would very much appreciate it.

Let me be your Naiso, because I am Graced with The Sight and I wear a belt with seven magic gems.
This mod is Episode 11 in my collection of MC mod videos.
It gives a basic overview of the mod and its features.

Do you have any other mods installed? Because it could be causing a conflict. Try adding the mod to a fresh install of MC.
Did you download the Resources folder as well as the mod zip file?
Also, make sure you have modloader and the Audiomod added to the .jar file.

Spinosaurus was not the biggest just because of it's spine. it was longer AND taller AND heavier as well, not just for the spine. I said this earlier eVe
GGP, you got the main message of it. Charcarodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus are not the same because of obvious differences in body shape and location, contrary to what someone said earlier. And not all the fish were 10 foot long, some even grew to 20 feet, but for the most part they were about 10 feet in length or under.

I know for sure that I have audiomod and modloader, and I did in fact download the resource folder, but that is where I got confused. Are we supposed to merge it with the .minecraft/resource folder that we already have? That's what I assumed, at least. And the part about placing the Zip folder in the mods folder, am I supposed to place the mod_fossil.zip folder in it, and THEN extract it, or just leave it as a zip? I believe that's where I got lost.

Also, I'd like a bug with the tyrannosaurs fixed. It can see you no matter what, even if the tyrannosaur and the player are completely sealed off from eachother. My tyrannosaur starved because it only stood exactly below me, trying to kill me.
Allosaurus: World's No. 1 Predatory Dinosaur
Ankylosaurus: Armor-Plated and on the Defense
Brachiosaurus: One of the Largest Dinosaurs

Yes. Just yes.
Maybe it would be a variation?
