the staff
the staff spawns a random pet (except a herobrine). it requires 2 eggs and the staff will disappear.

to spawn normal pets
create a satanic summoning ritual
first, make a 7 by 7 obsidian platform. leave the center open. after that, place redstone torches so that they create a pentagram. if you place an egg on the center, a creature will hatch (depending on the block underneath it)
if you place netherrack, a zombie spawns
if you place soulsand, a spider spawns
if you place glowstone, a creeper spawns
if you place a pumpkin, a skeleton spawns
if you place a jack-o-lantern, a pigzombie spawns
and if you place obsidian, an enderman spawns
the enderman is a little different from the other pets. they can carry any block you give him (exept blocks from other mods) and if you give him a chest, you can acces it with an ender pearl (just right click him with a pearl in your hand). right click him again to get your block back.
to spawn a pet herobrine
make a 3 by 3 platform from golden blocks. put a mossy cobblestone in the center. on top of the mossy cobblestone, put a netherrack. place 4 redstone torches around the netherrack (in a + shape, not a x shape). finally, put a rotten egg on the netherrack

1. get a fresh minecraft.jar (advised but not necessary)
2. download the latest modloader and necromancy
3. open modloader, necromancy and the minecraft.jar with winrar, winzip or 7zip
4. delete META-INF
5. drag the class files and folders from modloader and necromancy to the minecraft.jar
6. run the game
troubleshoot
open appdata/roaming/.minecraft/modloader.txt, it contains the error. post the error in a spoiler, i will answer it as soon as possible

I like this mod concept, I am going to give it a whirl. May I suggest in the spirit of the mod, add skeletons next, would make the most sense and give you a ranged mob to help you fight. Maybe use bones + string + a diamond or two for the recipe.

this has been done before :tongue.gif: it was called Necrocraft, but it hasn't been updated in a long time. My mod does something similar, just not with undead creatures. Good for a first mod, though. I'm glad to see new modders don't all want to start out making some random ass new ore that makes you ridiculously OP... keep up the imagination (make mobs that haven't been made yet! Experiment with the modeling stuff! It's really not that much harder than what you're doing XD)
