Pam, I'm having a problem with the mod. The fruits NEVER ripen! I spent ten days looking at a cherry tree, and the cherries never ripen (any fruit). They're always green and i can't pick up. All trees are the same thing. However, only the trees. What can I do?
I get rippened cherrys all the time... in fact, when I don't have any Zap Apples or Apples left, I tend to do a big harvest of them... :3

Yesterday I finally got around to looking at all the painterly textures (and OMG there are alot of them!) and I got thinking.. You know those cute cat tail textures? What if you replaced the dead bushes with them, and made them only spawn in and around water? I think it would add alot of character to the water, which is pretty boring. What do you think?
And whats this add fly thing you are talking about? Whether Ive donated or not, I still want to give whatever little bit add-fly gives to you. I know you work hard and every little bit counts!

I discovered something that may be linked to this error. When I put the cursor over the cherries (or any fruit which is born in a tree) says "unnamed". Only fruits, the saplings are with the correct names.

Yeah, all the second/third growth stage tree fruits aren't named. The names are in the code, and it's exactly how it is for the first stage but the game refuses to read the names.

Thankfully that is not an error. I'm dumb, haha. But still, the glitch continues. I generated a new world, and all the trees are with green fruits which never ripen. I don't know what else to do. I really wanted to play your mod.
Heh I had some odd glitch with the textures for a good bit. No idea what i had done wrong. But then I re-installed everything and it fixed itself. No idea how i can mess up some easy peasy mod such as Pams wonderful mods.
Oh yes. I suppose that while I am in the area I will update the kids computers with the latest of Pams creations.

I'm trying to plant mushrooms. How do I get this to work? I have white mushrooms that I found wild and I am trying to place them on wood, planks, and their various rotated versions and it won't take. I'm sure I'm probably doing it wrong. How does it work? (: [EDIT] Sorry, I just figured out they must be changed into spore form. ha!
Also, I know that Pam's mods are typically made to mesh well with Painterly's pack, such as the salt ore, but on my server we play with the default vanilla textures, so I uploaded a texture pack for the salt mod if you are interested in a salt block that looks more like vanilla rock than painterly's rock.
For this look:
Download this file and replace the image file in the Salt mod inside the folder "pam/harvestcraft"
Lastly: salt gives my server an issue. Anyone else? Singleplayer works fine, all other mods work fine, but when I add salt is goes haywire. Forge 6.6.0.499.

EarthCraft is currently discontinued for the forseeable future. If you want a lot of the stuff I added, download Metallurgy 2 and some of its add-on mods.
When I am feeling better from my new affliction (another kidney stone), I will be changing how my crops work before I add anymore. Basically, you'll still get seeds from tall grass, but I aim to have the actual crop item work just like potatoes and carrots--they can be eaten and used to plant the crops in the ground. This gets rid of the annoying step of turning crops into seeds to plant again.
And the reason HarvestCraft is split into 10+ mods is for full and complete customization. When there are more crops, I will be bundling them into either themed downloads or putting every five crops together into a mega zip.
Of course, as soon as I do this, people are going to complain that either a) there are still too many downloads or why do they have to download onions along with lettuce?

Hi Pam, I have a question- Ive been using the Inspiration (32x) texture pack, and I wanted to make some textures for weeeflowers to match it. I made my textures, (most of them are modified textures from the John Smith (32x) texture pack) but I dont know how to make them work in the game, since they are so much bigger than the original. Is it something that you think you could give me instructions to do, or, if I send the file to you, could you fix it for me?
