What you are planning for Weee! Flowers sounds awesome. Would it be difficult to make the plants in Desert Craft either plantable or able to be cut with shears or that when you break them they are like how the flowers currently are where you can replant them? They are so great looking but not always where I want them and I would like to be able to landscape with them.
I bet you can't wait for your new and improved computer to be done. =)
It might be difficult, but I'd like to get my desert plants movable for desert decoration sometime. Probably with shears, just like tall grass. We'll have to see what I can do!
You have no idea how much I want my new computer. I get to play better video games, no random computer shutdowns anymore, I should be able to do really high quality Let's Plays (and if not, I'll start doing them on my fiance's computer while he's at work when I can). I can't wait!
For the desertcraft mod, the rusty mini shrub appears to be bigger than the rusty shrub.
The desert plants are named backwards on accident. Once I get them able to be moved around with shears, I'll figure out how to get their names to show correctly. lol
Well, I just contacted Rhodox (of the Painterly Pack) about his donation texture-a-thon. I'm going to be donating a lot of my Adfly/Adcraft click and donation money of my own to his cause not only because the man is extremely down on his luck but because he's released so many fantastic textures to the public for free over the past two years AND because I feel you guys' money should go back into improving this mod and this Minecraft community as a whole. It would be absolutely terrible if Rhodox could no longer sprite due to any sort of financial issues.
As of now I've asked if he has 10 spots left, so I can improve 10 crop drop item textures in a Painterly fashion. If you would also like to donate in the name of HarvestCraft or any sort of food sprites, please let me know which ones you were going to donate for, just so I'm not doubling up.
I was thinking of the following:
Tomato, Potato, Lettuce, Onion, Carrot, Corn, Strawberry, Banana, Orange, and Lemon being as though several other modders also use these crops, and I'd prefer Painterly to make things that everyone could use. =)
Pam, just so you know (and so noone blames your mod for this):
Forge is currently breaking grass. NO seeds drop - not yours, not wheat, not anything.
I'm sad, I can't get any seeds for my Pamcrops! But I figured folks should know. I went through carefully and narrowed down the bug, and it's definitely Forge's fault.
So don't blame Pam! :biggrin.gif: Get toad to fix Forge. :biggrin.gif:
....In the meantime, if you're not too too busy, is there an alternate way to get those seeds without using TMI? *sheepish grin*
*plead*

Just go and download/use Minecraft Forge 1.2.0 My mods work fine with that version and seeds aren't broken. I'm about to update my original post with this info.
Still don't have my computer up and running, so I can't code.

Just to make sure, do you have anything else installed, because I am having no problem finding seeds. What version of forge? 1.2.1 is known to be buggy at the moment.
Watching the forge commits, it looks like someone has already patched the seed problem, so next forge update it should work again.
There is a rare mythical button called "Search" that likes to answer questions; however, due to its nature, it often blends in with its surroundings so as to remain hidden.
Man, I'm so excited to get back into modding! Plus, I'm donating a bunch of money to Rhodox not only to help him but also for sweet textures for the Minecraft community and HarvestCraft! Sweet! I'd donate more but AdCraft still hasn't paid me for the last two months...
Anyway, as I said, I'm gonna crop-ize flowers with the random drop flower bush and have a 'magical' formula to make dyes from flowers. Also, need to fix that sand-as-soil-not-working bug for cactus fruit crops. Man, wish I had my mod check list on my fiance's computer! I'd be able to tell you what else I was gonna work on over the next few days...

I made a suggestion a couple of pages back, but it seems to have been burried by the recent comments, and is a little hard to spot; I guess I should have been a little more detailed as well..
Anyway, have you seen ComicRetrolution's mods? Among them are Fishcraftory, Runecraftory and Chefcraftory. All of them have associated skills which can be leveled through fishing, farming, and cooking respectively. Runecraftory has a nice number of crops that can grow, and by using the Seasoncraftory mod, they only grow in the appropriate season. Many of the crops it has are also included in your mod. Also, Chefcraftory allows you to cook dishes you have the appropriate level for, and using the mods stove block and appropriate additional tools(mixer, pot, pan, etc.).
I would love to see if there is any way that you would be able to implement your harvestcraft mod with runecraftory and chefcraftory so that one would be able to gain experience in the farming skill by growing your crops as well, and that your dishes would be cooked on appropriate kitchen blocks as opposed to the workbench. It would also be great if the crops your mods shared in common were merged so that users wouldn't have to use different tomatoes in his cooking recipes and yours for instance.

I know of the 'Craftory mods. When I have time, I'll sit down and see how difficult being compatible with the 'Craftory mods would actually be. However, bug fixes and all the minor updates I need to do once I get my computer up and running need to happen first. =)
btw, Pam, what's wrong with your puter? Anything we can do to help? <3

My fiance has been cobbling it together with a combination of old and new parts. Last night we were almost done then one of the raid hard drives died. So, he had to rebuild the raid with new hard drive types and re-defrag everything again (since these hard drives had other stuff on them from before...or something).
So, hopefully everything is done today. x.x
Also, a non-standard bill came up today and now I can't afford to donate as much to Painterly as previously planned. Have to talk with my fiance tonight to see how much we now have free due to this. =(
Despite all of this, I am having a great day--I just wish some things would stop messing up!
Um, crops I plant do not seem to grow... is this a bug? Also trees I plant do grow, but it takes them literally a couple real hours. And sometimes they don't even grow. Is this a bug?
ALSO, are fruit trees suppose to spawn back there fruits? Because mine don't. Is this a bug?
Hey, was the 1.0.0 update just a straight update with no new features? It seems like the ore dictionary hasn't been added yet.
Yep. It was either me update to 1.0.0 immediately after Forge came out without any actual mod updates or force everyone to wait till after the new year for 1.0.0 versions of my mods with new stuff.

Is wheat growing just fine in the same area of my crops in your game? What version of Minecraft Forge are you using? Also, my trees use a different growth code so sometimes they can take a while to grow (they always will grow, it just might take a while). Also, the fruits do not grow back. Just take some fruit tree saplings and replant.
----
Also, my computer is currently at 91% in the de-frag process. I've completely disabled Windows Update so it won't restart on me! So close!

Um, Wheat, melons, and pumpkins grow just fine.
I am using minecraft forge version 1.2.0. I assume this is the problem?
What is the changes in the new version of forge?
Also, I was having this problem on my server. I know Jsn man is responsible for the SMP port, but I also tried planting crops in single player, and they still do not grow. So I figured, you where at fault not him.
Although I am not using the latest version of forge... this also might be the reason.
EDIT: Just updated to Forge version 1.2.2 and I am having the
same issue.
Also, people have been saying that bone meal does not work, well.. bone meal does in fact work. You just don't see the crop grow for some reason.
After you plant the bone meal, destroy the crop. You will notice you get your fruit/vegetable.
Umh... why doesnt Woodcraft have any textures.. and harvest craft? :S...
I have a lot of mods, but the mods you have works perfect with them, but the textures are white with like a black pixel on them :S..

I cannot find a reason for your crops not growing. I've been haphazardly playing Minecraft for an hour or so on my fiance's computer using the same files you are, and I'm growing lots of crops just fine. Also, till things are fixed with Forge stopping grass seed drops, use Forge 1.2.0
And my crops will visibly grow with bone meal. Sometimes you need to wait a second for it to pop or just place down a torch nearby to cause all the blocks to check for an update.
Do you think you are going to add regrowing fruit on trees because that would be awesome! :smile.gif:
Well, the reason fruit doesn't re-grow now is that fruit trees were part of the 'ForageCraft' mod of mine way back when. The whole purpose of that mod was to have to go out to find more stuff. Plus, you get saplings from a tree about 20% of the time to grow more trees. If fruit re-grow is something I can do easily, I might consider it.
