I think that play style must be a female thing...because that's exactly how I have been playing Skyrim as well and pretty much how I play any game. I have yet to run into a giant...and I don't want to run into a dragon as I don't want to have to kill them.
Well, I don't always play that way every game. It's just I have no interest in being hand held and force fed some prophecy story and then there are dragons flying everywhere... I kinda just want to sandbox the game. =)
its not *wrong* , its your personal playstyle.
i have a save where i have totaly ignored everything in oblivion and just mapped out as much as possable, being sure to avoid the monastry and the village the emperors illigitimate spawn is trapped in :tongue.gif:
also, you WERE right. Forge does not like the MCpatcher 2.2.2
once i did a clean install (made a spare folder to store my milli version of the .minecraft jar and saves) only installed modloader, forge and your mods (rei's minimap and 1player commands too) its worked fine.
you can also sneak up to a good few of the dragon markers, if you stay out of the range of the word of power. if you hear the chanting, your a wee bit too close. try not to go near the one up the mountain near whiterun though, there is a nasty dude there that will probably hand you your head in a basket. i found him by accident below my lvl 10 and i ended up being a poiton-aholic to not get killed.
you can even use a bandit base as a temp home.im not sure how long it is, but chests dont seem to be respawning in a couple of days like in oblivion. maybe its a month, like the ore respawns.
so far, the best temp bases i have found are a sunken tower (enchanting table and alchemy table) for my magic user chars, and a fort full of orcish guys that has a mine (forge and smelter up top) for my warrior girl.
looking for a place that has *everything* but i think that will be likely to be an add on house like in oblivion.
*edit also found a good use for the cauldrens, if they arent actualy usefull for pots ect. they make fantastic sinks :tongue.gif: no more double wide stone sinks ^^ for kitchens.
now if only they would code it so the half blocks could sit ontop of eachother whenthey are of a diferent type...i could make 2 color worktops then ^^
Well, I do want to own my own home in Skyrim, so I guess I'll be forced to follow the main story line for a bit when I get around to it. Right now I'm playing a male orc named Garuk (my WoW character, cause I didn't want to sit at Skyrim's character creation screen for 5 hours making a character) who uses a bow, dual weilds axes, and collects every flower this side of Skyrim. Mwhahaha.
Compatibility wise how widely compatible is this with other mods?
Outside of Block ID usage and a mod not liking Forge, my mods should be very widely compatiable. With 1.8.1, I was running all my mods plus like 30 other ones at the same time with no issue.
I just wanted to say that now that I have the Forge and your mods installed properly, I am delighted with them. I'm currently running all or nearly all of your mods, Mo' Creatures, Tale of Kingdoms, Millenaire, Coral Reef, zombe's mods, Glow Vines (which I highly recommend, btw), DKC Goats, LoafCat (did you know Loafcats could beat up alligators?), and a couple of others I'm forgetting. It really makes for a lush world. I'll try to post a few screen shots tomorrow.
Oh, are your mods compatible with Nature Overhaul? I don't recall seeing that in the FAQ.
I'm glad you like my mods! I hope they continue to stay enjoyable. =)
As someone said earlier, Forge and NO share three classes and if you want seeds and such for HarvestCraft, you need to install Forge after NO.
awesome 1.0.0 update but pam is their any way you can make cobble/smooth stone change colors with out changing the texture so its texture pack compatible?
Hmm. That's something I could look into, but I have a lot of other stuff to work on once I get my new computer up and running.
Last I checked bonemeal was working just fine on my HC crops and for spawning grass stuff on the ground. Do you mean its not working on say, Cotton or Candleberry crops? Those need their own fertilizer (CC, WC, and DC all have their own fertilizer. Weee! Flowers will have it as well). And nothing makes my trees grow cause they're broken. =(

Dunno. Make a copy of your /bin/ folder and then install them to check out!
See, I got all excited thinking that since you could declare what 'soil' your plant uses that things would just work without an issue. Wrong!
Glad you got it working. Now if only everyone would follow your second sentence...

Ah, did not know your trees are broken. Tried it on them, and then assumed it was everything.
Yup it is just the trees.

Yeah my trees use slightly different code than the normal ones so the bonemeal doesn't work on them.

In other news, I guess I'm gonna go try and follow the Skyrim story line up till I can get a house. Not to happy about that, but I need a place to put these 75 cabbages... >.>
when i install this mod i get no textures to any of the plants or ores i installed it the why i was supposed to but still it wont work. Please help.
yes is was a clean .minecraft too
Did you download and install the /pam/ folder correctly?
Installation for 1.0.0 mods is TOTALLY DIFFERENT. READ IT.
If you have white textures, you need to place the /pam/ folder in one of the zip files. If you re-download that zip file, you need to replace the /pam/ folder again. Do NOT put multiple /pam/ folders in different zip files.
Do not let ID Resolver set new IDs for stuff in HarvestCraft. You'll get crashes!
If you use Optifine, you MUST use the Minecraft Forge version of it or you will get weird texture issues!
General News
Just like I said, now that my mods are all updated, I've moved all my mod content to my new website. All download links, news updates, pictures, and videos will be posted there.

Below is a list of all my mods hosted at my website. All my mods are made with Minecraft Forge, so they take up no sprite indices.
1.8.1 - SMP Versions of my mods (ported by Jsn_man):Here
All my 1.8.1 and 1.0.0 mods are now compatible with the Tale of Kingdoms mod (my items can be sold to its merchants). Hurrah!
Submitted Fan Textures for 1.8.1 versions EarthCraft vanilla Minecraft terrain and item textures by Plastick: Terrain Mediafire and Item Mediafire
Just drag and drop it into your /pam/ folders! This replaces ore, gems, colored smoothstone, and all the non-colored stone tool items with vanilla textures. Make sure to let Plastick know how much you appreciate it!
TheMadWolf has released a version of WolfCraft (3.5) that works with EarthCraft and WoodCraft!
LoulouteFlore's HD (x512 and x1024) Textures
----------------------------
HarvestCraft (MC 1.0.0)
This mod increases the amount of farm-able crops by twenty-seven, adds in a new 'ore' called salt, four types of wild berry bushes, fifteen new types of trees that bear fruit or food products, and over 150 new foods! NOW ONLY USES 5 BLOCK IDS TOTAL (instead of 30+)! Other Mod Compatibility (1.8.1 only): Works with Version 5.0 - Now works with MineFactory Reloaded! See his thread for the MineFactory Reloaded and additional support mod download. Please take all bug/issue questions with MineFactory Reloaded to that thread, as I won't be able to help with issues you might have. This support mod was made by Nirek! =)
EarthCraft (MC 1.0.0)
While you may groan at the thought of another 'ore' mod, this one will use Minecraft Forge, meaning it will use no texture indices. Also, I will use meta-data for all the blocks, meaning each 'type' of block will only use a single Block ID (yes, that means all ore will only use up 1 Block ID total!) Includes, sixteen new colors of naturally generating stone (can turn off in .cfg file), dyed cobblestone, dyed bricks, stained glass, fifteen new gems to compliment Lapis Lazuli, and seven new ores/alloys. Not to mention all the tools and armor that goes with those.
WoodCraft (MC 1.0.0)
Currently only adds sixteen colored plank blocks to be used for decoration. Will hopefully add all sorts of other colored wood blocks including doors, chests, etc along with colored leaves. Colored wooden planks will be made useable in as normal planks in recipes in a later update.
HearthCraft (Idea Stage)
This mod is currently being thought upon. It will be a purely decorative mod, putting together all my other mods' decorative items (flowers, carpets, colored wood, stone, etc) plus new blocks that showcase all of the many variations of Painterly's beautiful texture pack. Would also allow people to turn on and off blocks, to save Block IDs and also let users of my other mods not double up on the same blocks.
DesertCraft (MC 1.0.0)
This mod adds sixteen new plants that spawn on sand, including one that drops fruit and seeds (and thus is farm-able). Also includes cactus, sandstone, and glass steel tools. With this mod you can now make every wooden plank, stick, and stone/cobblestone based item with a mixture of those (or just of), cactus blocks, cactus sticks, and sandstone blocks (this includes using cactus sticks to make normal tools)!
WaxCraft (MC 1.8.1)
This mod is meant to compliment and work along side Nandonalt's Beekeeping mod (1.8.1 version only), giving you more options to find wax (candleberry bushes which are farm-able and candlenut trees) and uses for wax, including hardened leather armor.
ClothCraft (MC 1.0.0)
This mod focuses on wild cotton plants (that are farm-able if you find the seeds) that allow easy access to string, allowing you to make cloth armor and carpets. The cloth in this mod is also compatible with Hogofwar's Peacefulpack's Flax (1.8.1 version only).
Weee! Flowers (MC 1.0.0)
This simple mod adds in fourteen naturally spawning flowers that can be used directly as dye for wool. Easy but pretty!
BoneCraft (MC 1.0.0)
This mod adds in bone armor, bone tools, and allows you to use bones to make every stick based item in the game.
Mini Mods Get all the Seeds! (MC 1.8.1)
This is a super simple mod that allows pumpkin seeds and melon seeds to drop along side wheat seeds from Tall Grass. This mod is included in HarvestCraft 1.8.1 so do not mix!
Oh forgot to mention that as I type this, my fiance is working on building my computer, again. This time we have a new case and new video card. I don't know if I'll get my computer up and running well enough to start coding again today but if it gets done today, I'll be back to working on updates tomorrow!
The first update I'll be doing is making Weee! Flowers a plantable crop of some sort, so you can farm flowers to your heart's content and also adding a way to get actual dye items from my flowers (although this won't be easy to make, you'll get a lot of dye at once) so all the issues with not being able to use my flowers to dye other mod's items will be solved!
What you are planning for Weee! Flowers sounds awesome. Would it be difficult to make the plants in Desert Craft either plantable or able to be cut with shears or that when you break them they are like how the flowers currently are where you can replant them? They are so great looking but not always where I want them and I would like to be able to landscape with them.
I bet you can't wait for your new and improved computer to be done. =)
You don't use bonemeal to grow Pam's plants. You will have to make fertiliser (refer to mod pages on her website for details).
Too busy looking for good camera angles to watch my feet, and fell in a ravine:
Not spectacular, but I think it's one of my favorite screenshots anyway:
Copied directly from harvest craft.
Version 5.0 uses normal bonemeal to grow crops!
As such the bonemeal not growing plants is a bug.

Too bad I can't install Minecraft on my fiance's computer, since I'm logged under a 'user' account in Windows. Boo.
Not a huge deal. I can wait and see what you find. :>
Thanks. It'll probably be next week till I can work on it. Still don't have my computer yet. *glares at her fiance*
Sorry, my bad. So used to telling people that in previous versions...
Cool, I'll look into that.
It's cool. All the other mods still use their own fertilizer, so it's still a good thing to say. =)
Did you download and install the /pam/ folder correctly?
it adresses white texture problem as well :smile.gif:
Nice. Now people can do it WITHOUT commenting on the thread.
