Sorry for not responding to folks' posts directly. I am still sick, and I have lots of stuff to do this week being as though next Tuesday is X-mas. I will be working on updating my mods to 1.4.6 whenever MCP/Forge gets sorted out and then hopefully releasing a few more crop mods. I also want to look into having my trees/bushes spawn in Extra Biomes XL due to the fact that Painterly now supports that mod, and it looks AMAZING.
I've updated my mods to 1.4.6 and fixed a bug with the Cotton mod where cloth slabs would only drop as white ones. I've been sick (hence the lack of updates), but I hope to have something out by the New Year. Happy Holidays!
I will second the motion that NyQuil is the greatest fixer upper. I like to call it "The nighttime sniffling, sneezing, coughing, how the heck did I face-plant on my keyboard" medicine.
You are AWESOME. Great work as usual. The texture for rice looks amazing. I can't wait to make rainbow curry and/or sushi with it!
Regarding cotton: I'm wondering if you'd consider flipping the cotton image horizontally? It looks cool but the color matches the numbers, so it's hard to tell how many you have. I always flip it horizontally in my texture pack and it looks just as cool, but suddenly the number is visible (:
Also, for those who are interested, I made an alteration to the flowers sprite sheet. I just enlarged the flowers while they are growing so the shoots look a little less pixelly. You can compare in the image below. They grow from one leaf and a bud, to three leaves with a bud, to their final incarnation. It makes my flowerbeds look much more filled out, yet they still have obvious differences in terms of which are ready for harvest.
Are desert plants ever coming back?
I love your mods, and I appreciate all your work. Take care of yourself.
That is for compliance with other mods that have similar materials. If,for example, you are playing with another mod that has corn, what that recipe actually does is turn Pam's Corn into Other Mod's Corn to ensue cross compatibility.
Sorry, I've fixed the original post. Dunno what happened with the pictures and links, but I hopefully have fixed everything.
And djchrisblue, you make a great point with the cotton icon. I'll do that when I can. =)
Thanks for taking the time to fix up the flower textures. I had left them looking very simple due to folks possibly wanting to use different flower textures for the ending flower, so I didn't want people to have to have to change too many textures when they did this. Your textures are very good, however.
You can enable the Weee! Flowers flowers in the config file to turn directly into dyes if you want them to instead of having to use the redstone 'dye potions'. You can ignore the recipes you feel are unnatural (blue flowers turning into lapis lazuli).
Nyquil last night also gave me a great mod idea--Weee! Flowers but with mushrooms. Maybe I took too much Nyquil that time?
Yeah, Painterly Pack has several other options for giant mushrooms besides red and brown. I might have to look up giant mushroom generation when I have time.

more mushrooms? hm maybe make potions and what not from them in cauldrons or some thing? also had an idea to make a meat smoker/ fruit drier block I'll get back with more details once I get rid of my head ache. x.x;
New rice stuff
You know what's awesome? Nyquil. x.x
I can't run Minecraft right now to test this myself.
Bah, I just realized that I overwrote my links for 1.4.5.
I will fix this.
I've re-added all my old links for 1.4.5
