You can download a Forge or a Normal version of the mod. Forge version uses no Terrain indexes but is incompatible with HD.
I dont think you know what youre talking about.
Im running just fine on hd textures.
Forge is a ***** to get working, but it works just fine.
Oh, and to add on to that forge discussion, Forge sucks, but I like mods, so I use it for the (three or four) mods I use.
My only complaint is some SPC bugs, as Zombe's modpack has a compatibility fix, and all my other mods dont explode.
But it sucks for people with brick computers who need optifine and such, HD patcher made my life slightly easier.
(Im also not a fan of API upon API upon API to run a single mod which features dont really add anything really useful unless you like building mega structures to show your other autistic friends. But THATS JUST ME.)

Since the textures added are mixed with the built in textures, I had to put the minecraft textures in the forge sheet. Fireplaces will have default textures instead of HD in the forge version.

Well, a little bit of editing fixed that for me.
So you should remove the "Cant be HD) thing. Because it can.
Is there a reason why theres 6-8 Guis for the same thing?
(The grills, yeah cool, aesthetics, but kinda a hassle when reskinning.)
The GUIs match each grill material. If you want to only texture a single, plain GUI then I can create a solvent. I will add a check for a file named "gui/grillall.png". If this file exists in the texture pack, GUIs will use it instead of the custom ones.
Another question: Why are we bothering with tier efficiency when this mod's pretty much for aesthetics?
I added tiers for those who need a reason to use better materials. Although the mod is aesthetic and the grill is functional, I added because it's related to fireplace varients. I thought seemed better off with functionality so I released it with cooking abilities.
I'm not sure if this is a glitch with my other mods or this one, but when I went on multi-player something weird happened... The game would make a note block noise and then crash if I typed to fast.
Can any1 help me?? im really confused because this mod isn't compatible with buildcraft
i have idresolver and when i change the blockid 154 says the same error, saying block 154 is already occupied by null. Of the null is what i mean, i don't want to change the buildcraft id because i want to play in mp servers... so here is the log:
if anyone can help me reply please.
Change the blockID in ".minecraft/config/mod_fireplace.cfg" if IDResolver can't fix it. I'm not sure how you got occupied by null because that is an impossible error. Minecraft crashes like that when the block isn't null.
when i change it it says null, when i leave it with the default says conflict when adding BlockfirepitOn :sad.gif: and it didn't works. So, this mod is incompatible with Buildcraft. Make it compatible :biggrin.gif:
I changed my config blockIDs to 190-202 and it works fine with Buildcraft. If that doesn't work then the IDResolver you use might be the problem.
Damn.... okay ill TRY to make room >.<

I looked at it and tried to fix it. It's a bug with Forge so I can't fix it.

Credit for asking the creators first but I don't want my mod in any modpacks.
Ok. Thanks anyways.
The grill looked better at 1.4 block height instead of 1.
If the fireplace is connected to the chimney by more then one corner, yes I could do that.
