Really good,
but i would use the gravel to make Flint of it.
Why dont you make a mod where are Flint blocks available?
To counter the problem with losing Flint from the gravel (since you're smelting it, and can't revert it to gravel), I'm adding a brand new type of arrow. By obtaining granite from the gravel rather than flint, you can quadruple the number of arrows you can make. Here's the math:
1 piece of gravel -> 1 piece of flint * 4 arrows per craft = 4 arrows.
1 piece of gravel -> 1 piece of granite -> Broken into 4 granite shards -> 4 shards * 2 arrows per craft = 8 arrows
EDIT: The math for this changed. You now receive 2 arrows per craft rather than 4. I thought this was more appropriate, since granite-tipped arrows do nearly twice the damage of regular arrows.
Not only do you get more arrows, but the arrows are stronger. 2 hits to kill a passive mob, 3 hits for an aggressive mob. The new Granite update with these arrows will be out soon.

Great work Cameron, can't wait to test out the new version!

That's my next task. I need to narrow down why exactly there are conflicts first, so that I can eliminate them :biggrin.gif:
I PM'ed you a few that don't conflict, and a few that do. Xie's farming for example... make sure it works with More Creeps, Mo' creatures, SDk gun mod, Premium Wood... to name a few big ones.

Maybe you can make from granite granite pots, that are basicly chests but made frome granite and (optinal) round. You can place them next to each other but they wont get 'a large pot'. Than the recepy for 'pot':
= granite

A pot isn't a bad idea at all. I'll look into it with furnaces :smile.gif:
i like the idea, butif your going to make a furnace with some sort of special thing, i would suggest changing granite to be made out of something less common then gravel

Granite is created from Gravel because gravel is fairly common, and granite is fairly common (in the real world). If I were to change what was smelted, that would defeat part of the purpose of the mod, since Gravel was in the recipe to help users get rid of all their extra (and generally useless) gravel blocks. Besides, what would I logically change it to besides gravel?
How is the testing coming? Resolved the conflicts yet? Also, can you post an in-depth guide for me to go over? Either in a PM or here it doesn't matter, I always come in to check up on the mod!

Firstly let me thank you for a very useful mod. Anything that adds to the choice of blocks for building is a huge bonus for me!
I just have one little problem - everything works perfectly except the light blue dye. When I use light blue dye on the granite I get just blue granite - not light blue granite. Other than that its great and thanks again.
Keep in mind this is a work in progress, and there is probably still a lot more features to come.

yes, I am not criticizing at all :smile.gif: I just thought the light blue was already done and was pointing it out incase it was just a little something that needed putting right. I can't wait for the rest of the mod to come about. The more blocks the better!!
Yeah I agree, I really like these blocks for flooring my houses, it has a nice texture dontcha think? :smile.gif:

Ok, so I've tried this mod several times, this latest time on a fresh jar with modloader and your mod, and every time it comes up with an error "X: Bad Drawable 97" or something like that. I'm running Ubuntu Linux 11.04 w/Gnome3 64 bit with OpenJDK runtime. What should I do to get the error output you need?
Just a heads up, for some reason this mod will crash minecraft if you activate anything that uses redstone power while smelting granite. Im currently trying to get my favorite world working again, so if your going to use this mod, test it on a new world.

Well I know that Xie's doesn't and I will start tsting more now.
Creeps and Weirdos, Zombe's, and TMI all work as well. I'll look into the conflicts with Xie's.
EDIT: Updated the current list; check it out!
I'm beginning work on adding half-steps today. Granite, refined granite, marble, and all the colored granite blocks will be included. :biggrin.gif:
