Is there a way to change F7 to another key and also to disable Matmos from downloading from the web?
You can change F7 by going into the Minecraft key control options, and to prevent MAtmos from downloading from the web, there is currently no other way than opening each file in matmos_expansions_r7/ with a text editor, and empty it.
The files must exist but they also must be blank.
When the file is blank, the URL becomes "invalid" so MAtmos will load from its latest successful valid download of the expansion, that was stored on the disk.
The sounds files the message is talking about are not MAtmos' but Minecraft's (the official Minecraft sounds and music).
If you're sure you already have everything downloaded from Minecraft, there it may be a bug worth looking into (a similar issue has been reported 3 times); Should you post a MCYU report and/or the list of mods you're using...
There might be MAtmos r9 Tuesday is there are enough bug reports so I can pinpoint the exact issue underlying it.
I also have the same error as sonic222333; pressing f7 just tells me that MAtmos is still loading because Minecraft is downloading sounds. This happened both on a minecraft install that had existed for a couple weeks with no mods, as well as a fresh install with no mods. I also left the game running for several hours to see if it cleared up, and it had the exact same message when I returned. I've tried downloading the minecraft resource folder directly to make sure the default sounds are all there, and I've triple checked that modloader is installed, and the proper files are copied over from the MAtmos zip; in all those cases the exact same result occured when I hit f7, and no MAtmos sounds played. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.
I found out about this mod in between 1.0's release and your update to support 1.0, and I have to say, this is just about everything I hoped for. Great mod, makes Minecraft so much more interesting to play.
I'm including MCYU in the zip, so if someone has an issue with the mod and I need to know if the mod is installed correctly and what is the file structure (conflicting mods, etc.), I just need to ask to run this file.

Can you try to install this?
This goes into the mods/ folder. It replaces the zip of the same name that goes in there.
I'll do a proper r9 packaging if the fix seems to work.
Changelog r9
- Added an option to bypass Minecraft sound loading crash security, defaulted on.
- The configuration file is now written it if did not exist upon loading (with default values).
- Added a warning message if expansions are still loading when pressing F7, requiring the user to press F7 again to shut down MAtmos.

It got it. It seems I needed to have MC's music at 100%. It's just that Minecraft's music play over the Terraria music. Also, I replaced the cave music and it keeps looping like the first 5 seconds of the music.
i have a suggestion that u should make the sound reduced when we are stayed in shelter or in a small area, because when im stay in my house, the snow storm sound are too loud that anoying me. I love ur mod but if u could fix that, it would be better :biggrin.gif: :smile.gif:

I seem to be having a problem, I installed it correctly, started with a new minecraft and all. But when I start a new world, I can hear the sound briefly and the game will say "saving chunks" and go to a black screen. Anyone else having this problem?
i don't have the 'still downloading sounds' problem, but what i do have, is that the matzos sounds just don't work.
i didn't just paste the resources over the default mine craft one, but just pasted the matzos ones into it, and the default mine craft sounds work fine, just not matzos'.
glsl and mcpatcher installed too, conflict?
EDIT: just realized i didn't have mod loader, fix'd, amazing mod
when i install the mods, fireworks mod or the CCTV block mod i lose the matmos sounds, i see why the fireworks interferes, but the CCTV doesnt have a sounds to it, could anyone help me?
EDIT: i got the fireworks mod to work :biggrin.gif:

My XML file.
Mu music.xml is in .minecraft/matmos_expansions_r7
It's not in the roaming folder, I have separate install of MC 1.0.0.

I'm having issue.
The cave music plays above ground and the mushroom biome music won't play at all. I removed the night/day music.
