I love this mod, but I was wondering if there's settings somewhere? The wind is too constant and loud for me, and it sounds like something's wrong with it. Its very harsh instead of the soft pleasant wind sound in the video at the top of this thread. It sounds like a jet engine constantly flying over my head.
However, I hear the birds and other stuff just fine. Thank you for all the work. It's awesome.

the controls are opened by F7 by default from there turn down effects
Has anyone had any issues with the Biome detection override feature not working? Running the 1.10 version with both the MSI conversion and Matmos Default resource packs.
This thread seems pretty dead, but if anyone has any tips, I'd be much obliged.
I love this mod, but I want to know how to add/replace music within the default resource pack. (Or create my own) I want specific biome music without giving up all the cool sounds in the default pack. Maybe my Google-fu isn't that good, but I can't find a decent tutorial out there or reverse-engineer the mod. (I can at least replace sound effects, but I'm not having that luck with music) Can someone shine some light here for me?

Can anyone give me some pointers? I have used MAtmos for 1.7.10 before, along with the msi conversion pack and presence footsteps. But I must have the wrong versions of the resource packs, because I used to get for example, running around in caves with zombies nearby, like a freaky whispering zombie sound. I don't get that anymore, or at least with the packs I am using.
Can anyone help me as to which MAtmos version and combination of resource zips I need with links to them? They used to make me feel terrified when entering a cave, I'd hear it and be like "NOPE".
Im experiencing the same. Im useing msi-conversion for 1.7 in 1.8.9. It gives me atleast alot of more sounds and cave sounds.
When iu try the latest rp 1.7x-1.8x for matmos most sounds are gone. Im in 1.8.9
1: i can use higher versions for 1.8.9 even tho they are marked as being incompatible?
2. Are there no sounds for Savannah? Cause i keep hearing this dark forrest sounds (Dragon screaming and scary ambience)
3. Since im on 1.8.9 which files do you recommend i download?
1.8.9 and below use Type1 resource packs , 1.9 -1.10.2 use Type2 resource packs and 1.11 use Type3 . I have never checked all the biomes .
It's possible that if biome sounds are missing , its using default . The number of sounds needed in each version is increasing ,but the pack is still the same . To do it right , you will need to get together a collection of sounds for each Type of pack . Then fill out the pack.json file . I know this is time consuming .
Start with creating a flowchart for each minecraft version . Need to go to the minecraft wiki and make a list of all biomes in each version . Make a sub list of conditions found in each biome . Assign a sub list of sounds to the condition . So you will need a lot of sound clips from various sources .
Now pressing F7 enter the sound editor go into Advanced editing mode and begin choosing sounds for events and setting levels then save
