Eh, it seems like it just throws sounds at me without order. Wind sounds are way too close to the ground, there isn't any biome specific sound, and it doesn't feel like it has the spirit of the original.
I also agree here. I prefer the msi_conversion resource pack. It has biome sounds and much more diversity. Even night sounds which i didnt hear in the matmos air resource pack
It works on 1.8 for me. It's not buggy at all! I made myself a own Modpack for my channel on 1.8 with Forge and LiteLoader. It was a big mess to get it working, but it runs just fine!
Try LiteLoader 1.8.46 and Forge 11.14.1.1354 and the latest MAtmos release for 1.8
But now I'm waiting for 1.9. Someone has to take over the mod!

Mind telling me how I install the mod you mentioned? I haven't played minecraft since the 1.2 update, and the method behind modding has changed drastically. Also, I am devastated to learn that Matmos is no longer being actively worked on. *tears*

Requires a version specific Forge . Drop *.jar mods in to .minecraft / mods / version# , where version# is the minecraft build , ie ... 1.7.10 , 1.8 , 1.8.9 , 1.9 , 1.9.2 , etc ...
Download the MATMOS resource packs from Daggs WIKI and load them

Thanks I missed it. I saw the top but missed the bottom.
No problem
I seem to have a problem. The download link is broken for the 1.7+ soundpack. Could anyone give me other link for it?
This is from page 179 of this thread. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1274487-matmos-environmental-sound-atmosphere-simulator?comment=3675

Oh, thanks peoples c:
No problem
i cant get it to work on 1.8, so i doubt you will get it to work on 1.9 It requires Liteloader. There is no liteloader for 1.9 out

I also got it to work for 1.8 now.
If you want a substitute for now, CreativeMD updated AmbientSounds for 1.8.9/1.9. I use it myself and it works fine. Here is the link to the forum post: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2526167-ambientsounds-v1-0-updated-to-1-9-1-8-9-listen-to
