This is due to the block scans it performs periodically - there isn't currently any way to tune this for slower computers but it's something I'm looking at.
dags_ I've solved the scanning performance problem pretty well by doing differential scans over full rescans. PM if you're interested in the idea.
Awesome Mod! i need it for 1.7.2 is there a stable version out now? i tried my best to find it (i went through his posts, googeled and stuff), but i couldn´t find it I would really really appreciate it if someone could give me the link to the neweset version for 1.7.2, and maybe the MSI pack for this version too thanks!
No , Unless you want to set up a 1.7.2 Work environment and download the source and compile one . 100 percent possible , YouTube has Java programming tutorials , learn Java over the weekend . I can't see any reason 1.7.10 won't suit your needs . For Multiplayer Bukkit and Spigot support 1.7.10 .
Edited: Ok this is not what i actually can use, the server i run is on 1.7.2 on cauldron. Our server owner does NOT want to switch to 1.7.10 because of the new EULA that doesnt accept ingame advantages through real money payment. Now i see and i know Pay2Win is kinda stupid anyways but he doesn´t want to listen to me in that case. (we need a bit money to finance the server) I will try learning java and compiling the source code into a working 1.7.2 one.
Wasn´t there a 1.7.2 test version? And if i think i remember clearly when OP said he will first bring out a 1.7.2 version before 1.6.4 . Didn´t he continue?
If you use Forge and Optifine, you must try around a bit. I think this version of Liteloader doesn't yet support Optifine as a "tweak", so Optifine must be loaded as a forge mod, but I am not sure anymore!!Back up your .minecraft directory, if you want to mess around with this.

It does work , above water sounds are muffled .The deeper you go the more quit it is . Here's an example test you can do , trigger rain and stand in water 2 blocks deep .The rain is now at half volume, then stand in water 3 blocks deep and volume is half that . This goes for any sound above the water . As for water making a sound it self , water does not make a sound . If you want a bubble sound , again that's nothing to do with water . In water the digging sound is half volume . So what is it your calling an under water sound ? The physics behaves as expected or as close as it can get in minecraft .

I'm also getting large amounts of "unable to play unknown sound event" entries in the log.
A json formatting error was located and fixed in my sounds.json file, but I'm still not getting any MAtmos sounds. The mod IS loaded, according to the ingame LiteLoader panel.
The footsteps are from Presence Footsteps.
Thank you so much!
Are you sure it's liteloader and not a specific mod? Is MAtmos the only mod you need liteload for?

Sent you a PM. Its for my own project, not necessarily MAtmos, but the general idea is applicable to MAtmos.

link to Stable MCP versions on Searges site http://www.modcoderpack.com/website/releases
link to Various old versions of MCP http://sdrv.ms/TPcx5v .
look in MCP dir . For 1.7.2 Grab mcp903.zip
You are right, there was a test version. I used it myself back then, it is stable, but has some bugs (e.g. rainsounds don't play reliably).
Look over here:

Apart from the Breeze pack in the post above (which doesn't contain many sounds), there is also a version of MSI working with it:

Does anybody have the old Sound Pack from way back in Tekkit Lite? I loved the sounds it had...
much ancient
underwater sound doens't work
i am using msi resource pack
It does work , above water sounds are muffled .The deeper you go the more quit it is . Here's an example test you can do , trigger rain and stand in water 2 blocks deep .The rain is now at half volume, then stand in water 3 blocks deep and volume is half that . In water the digging sound is half volume . So what is it your calling an under water sound ? The physics behaves as expected or as close as it can get in minecraft .
ok here is the deal
i saw a vidio ->
i though it was cool so i installed this mod and went to the water after creating a world
everything seems to work excepfor that underwater sound
all i can hear is vanilla swimming sound and no underwater loop sound no matter how deep i go down
I am not sure on how to get the mod to work in 1.8 i have liteloader and the resourcepacks + the mod but i can't hear the sounds.
Are there any sound packs other than MSI? (1.7.10)
Or how do I make my own?
These ones: https://github.com/dags-/MAtmos/wiki#soundpacks-for-17
But not really. The MSI one is, afaik, the one that is most complete. Rhapsodia, being the other one, is buggy I think.
Does anybody know where I can get a pack similar to Tekkit's built in sound pack for old Matmos?
How can i install it manualy without liteloader?

No. Why would you not use liteloader?
What happened here?
