i love this mod to death but apparently when i install it it turns off all other noises including walking and doors idk whats up i would appreciate it if anyone knew the incompatibilities (note: i dont have audiomod).
I'm also wondering if there's a way to add music to specific environments? Like when the normal music would play, indeed it would play a song that you added yourself depending on where you are. Like you could add some songs for nighttime, some for day, underground, nether, ect.
I just downloaded the latest version "1.2.3 r11withWeapon Interactions expansion" but when I start it up I get a message that I am not using the latest version. And the format is all screwed up but i think it says something like "You are 6 updated behind" or something.
And for some reason I have a Zoom feature that I for the first thing do not actually want, and it's somehow broken because I can press it once and it literally zooms in 99999% so it's not even useable.
Was just about to complain about the errors but I caught the little tidbit about the high altitudes just in time. I'm using Wedge so this may be a problem - didn't know height was a factor.
And for some reason I have a Zoom feature that I for the first thing do not actually want, and it's somehow broken because I can press it once and it literally zooms in 99999% so it's not even useable.
There was a mistake with the packaging, you can redownload the mod using the new links in the main post

The new .zip file now contains a folder with everything you need to put in .minecraft. So when you extract it inside .minecraft you get a new folder instead of the files extracting directly into the .minecraft folder.
The Zoom-key and function seems to be gone now.
In the folder inside the .zip you have minaptics_options.txt.
I still get the update message:

Hey im currently using the r11 for 1.2.3 (used the r10 before with MC1.1) and it perfectly for the sourroundings but when im installing the weapon interactive addition the invetory slots always make some strange echo sounds... I searched a bit through this thread but I haven't found someone who would have the same problem... If someone knows a fix for that echo sound please reply!

What do you mean by an echo sound? When you switch between regular items in the inventory theres a sound playing.

My only suggestion is finding the sound file for that area, note the name, convert the song you want to the correct type (most likely ogg) and replace it.. CONVERT not just change the extension. If that doesn't work I am not quite sure.

my only issue (and it's a big one) is that it will violently crash minecraft to the point that i have to restart my computer... anyone else having this problem?
im using an '09 MacBook Pro running Lion, 2.26 GHz Intel core 2 Duo processor with 4 Gigs of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB video card.
the other mods i was using was MCPatcher, Modloader, AudioMod, & Optifine...

Great mod ! but i think there isn't a sound with the redstone.. so i was thinking of a cool techno sound when you're close to active redstone. unfortunately i don't make sound this is just an idea.

Dunno what you have done wrong but this works just fine on 1.2.3 in SSP and SMP. The Windows 7 error is a Minecraft/Java thing that makes no difference to the game working.
Hope to see some jungle ambiance in the future.

Now, I've been watching this mod for a while and I haven't seen anyone ask, but is it possible to add more sounds to this mod?
I'm not talking re-placing existing sounds but add, say an extra cave sound or an extra wind loop.
Now, if that's not possible, then can I replace existing sounds without breaking the mod?
So, do I like, make an ogg, drop it in the resources folder for MATmos and then the mod will take care of the rest?
