Sorry, but I'm a little confused. From what I understand ( to get id resolver 1.2.5 working) all I have to do is apply the patch and install ID resolver?
Thanks ahead of time for a response and as always I appreciate all that hard work each member of this modding community does.
Yeah. Install ID resolver and that patch. When robinton releases a fix I'll remove it and update the first post. Hopefully, at the same time he'll release a forge merge.

No. The patch is only to fix a bug that would make 4096IDs think ID resolver wasn't installed. Or cubic chunks,
Thanks for the info, but I'm going to wait for the merge. This has always been a fantastic mod and I have been following it for a while. Keep up the fantastic work for all our sake.
Hey, ShaRose. Small question. Would it be possible to combine the ID Resolver with Robinton's 4096ID's mod? That way there's less mods to download (because I'm really friggin' lazy...). Just a speculation on my part. Whether or not you want to is up to you of course.
Either way, I really liked this mod. Can't wait until the update gets around! (although I said I was lazy, I tend to bumrush my game with more mods than the poor thing can handle...which is why I need the ID Resolver. I can wait though. Not much you can do until Robinton gets on the game.)
Ok. Here is 4096IDs_MC1.2.5_Forge3.0.1.75. It should work, but I thought I should release it before thorough testing... (Well, other people really can test things faster than I can so...)
Also, I remembered and wrote this patch to fix a small glitch that I had left in an ItemBlock ID Offset Fix in the non-Forge 4096IDs-MC1.2.5. It should fix a fair number of the times when foolish modders hardcode -256 offsets (instead of using the ModLoader.registerBlock method). Yes, it is rolled into the main download.
Finally, I'm releasing a tiny update CoordsInfo that will make it Forge compatible (though CoordsInfo doesn't actually require any other mods). Forge recently added a hook to GuiIngame (for Armor level display), and I added an optional call to that hook into GuiIngame.
Other news:
*No, Jeb hasn't gotten back with me...
*If Mojang doesn't fix 4096IDs by MC1.3.*, I probably will not update it again. At least not quickly enough for all you users. SO, starting next MC update, whoever wants to update 4096IDs is welcome to (see the source code in OpeningPost->DevNotes->link).
*My next task is getting CFCR working in non-debug mode; don't worry: I haven't forgotten about it!
Not an official forge version but you can try something.

Lolz, Why do you think I was such a **** with Robinton? in 1.0-1.2.3 I was using 10 or so mods, everything from 'Mo Creatures to Flans to IC2( and a fair number of addons for it) to TrapCraft. Then 1.2.4 came along, and nothing. I was only able to run at most 5 mods!
Quite a step back, don'tcha think? Anywho, I'm happy enough with the mods I have now I can wait until ID resolver is fixed.

With most mods, you can edit the config to change the ID. It's painful to do when you run many mods, but it's much faster than waiting for an update.
Everything seems to be working fine with the latest beta (ID Resolver and 4096 ID's for 1.2.5); manual installation and Magic Launcher is working quite well. Now, just need a few more mods and I'm set. Woot!

true but some mods that have config files don't work correctly yet.
Hit the head on the nail there. And some mods, like IndusCraft, come in a .Jar format that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the configs for. Also, its a pain in the ass reading each and every config ID number, figuring out which ones are the same, changing them to a number that I'm sure isn't already taken up, etc etc etc.
Is there any ETA before this mod is compatible with Forge? or should I just start trying to do it myself with the 20 mods, I don't even have them all installed yet, I have in?
Hope a forge version of this mode wil come out soon for 1.2.5 need it bad
need to edit my IDs to work again
So do I. Until it is released, we should try to help Sharose as much as possible by clearing confusion about the update to prevent the thread from being locked by update requests.

What? No, I'm just waiting for robinton to update the first post of his topic to include the forge version.
Sharose is still waiting for an official update (not a test version) for Robinton's forge version.
So do I. Until it is released, we should try to help Sharose as much as possible by clearing confusion about the update to prevent the thread from being locked by update requests.
