The forge ore converter mod has shapeless ingot recipes that convert ingots to the types used by different mods. It helps if you're, say, using a few mods and have two or three types of copper or tin and want to convert all your metal so it stacks nicely instead of having multiple stacks.
The mod recipe conflicts with the thaumcraft mod though, and is overwritten to allow for thaumcraft's ingot recipes.
Okay, I personally have never had this problem, what mod is it that causes this, I know Railcraft replaces the vanilla 'tracks' with 'rails' and changes the recipe for them, is that what you mean?
There are more than a couple. I had an issue with DaggersMod being overwritten by something that shouldn't be able to be crafted, but raising the mod priority of DaggerMod set the recipe right in that instance.
Though, there are mods that I didn't get due to the fact that two mods with the same recipe produce say a spear in one case and a sword or wand in another. I currently have 109 mods running right now x).
I'm having a problem. Buildcraft doesn't like having its oil IDs not be next to eachother, and ID Resolver seems to have put them not next to eachother.
I can't figure out how to go in and change the IDs back to something that works. There's config files for Resolver, but they don't make a whole lot of sense, and theres a big ol' "don't manually edit this file!" header at the top.

When the buildcraft blocks come up on the id resolver GUI, press the raise priority button.
It's not BuildCraft Core, you have to give Priority to the correct module. ID Resolver sees each module as a separate mod. I think Oil is in factory. Try raising the priority of the mod that has BuildCraft and Factory in it's name.
Yeah, all those pictures of fancy-looking menus sure look interesting, but the author seems to have neglected to mention how to actually get to them...
The buttons on the
"I found lose setting mate"
page don't work :<
It works, it just doesn't react when you push the buttons. It's actually doing the action, there is just no confirmation that it's done the action, but it is doing it. You can tell this by telling it to trim them and then exiting and restarting MC, the trim loose settings menu won't come up again.
Hello, i have a problem with IDResolver. The problem is it's crashing when there is 5 or more mods. It's really annoying. Can someone tell me the reason of this problem?

Where are you installing ID Resolver? It does not go in the Mods folder, it has to go in the jar.
I put it in coremods folder as stated in OP. Should I put it somewhere else?
Also I forgot to mention when there's like 2-3 mods it works. But when there is more it just go through "loading ids" and crashes on one, showing error above.
I'm going to play with like 50 mods and don't really want to type all IDs manually ;-; (all are compatible. compability is not the reason of these crashes) . Help!
And you have the correct GUI Api loaded as well correct?
Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
EDIT: problem solved. I had miss read and was trying to put the GUI api in the coremod folder instead of copying it directly to the jar. Sorry for the screwup.

NullPointerException huh?
This is just my guess, but I think that Advanced Alloys is incompatible with ID Resolver!
If I'm right, then you can fix it temporarily by setting priority lvl1 for the problematic mod!
In other words, you must not change the ids of the mod that has the problem!
The mod recipe conflicts with the thaumcraft mod though, and is overwritten to allow for thaumcraft's ingot recipes.
I can't figure out how to go in and change the IDs back to something that works. There's config files for Resolver, but they don't make a whole lot of sense, and theres a big ol' "don't manually edit this file!" header at the top.
When the buildcraft blocks come up on the id resolver GUI, press the raise priority button.
also, willl this work on a server?
"I found lose setting mate"
page don't work :<
I Solve practical problems
Yea, the crash doesn't indicate improper installation.
What specific mods are making ID Resolver crash? It looks like it could be a problem with Advanced Alloys.
Yeah... I'm getting this weird text issue. It kinda looks like that one part in Super Metroid with the haunted ship if that helps.
NullPointerException huh?
This is just my guess, but I think that Advanced Alloys is incompatible with ID Resolver!
If I'm right, then you can fix it temporarily by setting priority lvl1 for the problematic mod!
In other words, you must not change the ids of the mod that has the problem!
