Block/Item ID problems don't alter files that aren't saves. I'm not sure what you did to your game, but no block ID conflict could ever cause that. You probably deleted something you shouldn't have.
As for taking up block ID's, I'm aimed at having an extremely minimal number of new blocks, added to the game. So far, I count only one that is actually essential. The others can be/will be/have been replaced by items and entities, which do not cause those types of conflicts (or at least they haven't in the past. I imagine if you loaded up enough entity-focused mods, all at once, you might be able to do some damage, but I still don't think there are enough entities between every single mod ever created to actually cause that problem).
Thanks ive finally managed to install another mod(archaeology mod) that i had been wanting and i had been having problems with (block id problems)yesterday and that's the only mod it will let me use. For some reason it has some really bad block id problems...
just hoping it could work out or if i should kill off my dinosaurs...
yup, this would be why we make backups before adding any new mods :tongue.gif: also block id conflicts just cause black screen and usually close, im going to take a guess and say you tryed to uninstall a mod by deleting the files you put in your minecraft jar from it, only it over wrote some of the files already in there :tongue.gif:
oh and in reguards to the archeology mod it does seam to conflict alot, there is a mod available however that re assigns block IDs in cases of comflict i suggest you look for that

Will this be updated to 1.9 after you update it to 1.7.3, because i love the idea of this mod but it needs to get updated at leas for 1.9 when there will be a huge updtae if you add 1.8 stuff.

the dread swarm are bug like creatures, im not sure of the story behind them but i think they are either inspired by the locust of gears of war, ( some unknown threat that has been around as long if not longer than us) or aliens. and neither one of those would work if they were robots, neither would the name swarm, swarm calls to mind an image of a mass of insects. just wait and see, i'm sure gurgadurgen will explain it all in time.

A very impressive mod! However, don't you think Pigmen Villages would be much more fitting than Human Villages? I always liked the idea of Minecraft being an alien world devoid of humans, and instead being colonized by other sentient races, namely Pigmen.

Is there any way you could split up the different eras you are projecting into different downloads.
You know, wood age is one download, steam age is another download, etc.
I just ask because I know most people I know who play don't like ultra high tech stuff, and prefer more steam-punky technology.
Either that or maybe make the Dark swarm/Golems one download.
Just putting that out there. That said: Love the idea and can't wait until it's updated to try it out.
Actually, it's funny you should mention... because one of the main changes my partner and I have been working on has been magic-ifying everything technological. We pretty much agreed that magic would be more fitting, especially with the upcoming additions to the game (ie. potions, etc). Expect to be using some of it with the initial release (still working on it... we've run into a bit of a wall with some very important things, however, so... yeh :tongue.gif:)
Oh, and don't worry, even though we're making the world from sci-fi, to fantasy-scifi (with extra emphasis on FANTASY... ie. magical "technology," like... think... Final Fantasy, to an extent, I guess... something like that...), the Armatures will be in the initial release, however they will only be attainable (for now) through cheats (TMI, and the like).
We will be reworking the armature to better fit the world, and will be releasing that in a later edition, as an actual game mechanic, as was originally intended.
