1) Placing a microblock near (any of the eight adjacent squares) a wooden door causes the door to open.
2) Microblocks have a strange red power conductivity. I built a 5x5 hut out of microblocks. (I used marble brick slabs and plank slabs so that the exterior was marble brick and the interior wood planks.) No solid block were used. I placed a wooden door in one wall and a timer on the floor opposite the door such that one of the timer's outputs touched the far wall (one of the plank microblock slabs). The timer is two spaces away from the door. With every tick, the door would close if is was opened. If the timer interval was short enough, it was impossible to keep to door open long enough to exit the room.
3) A ladder or torch cannot be placed on the face of a block made up of the short side of a microblock vertical slab and a vertical slab strip. The face of the resulting block looks like the full face of a block, but it will not take a ladder or torch. (To recreate, make a stairs on its side out of a vertical slab and a vertical slab strip. Try to place torches on the two full sides.)
Using buffer gates to add 1-tick delay between signals:

Out of curiosity, what is this piston contraption going to be doing?
awesome, I'll give that a shot, hopefully I'll figure out how it works in the process, so I can make my own in the future. As for what it will do, I wish it was something impressive, but no

Classic. I remember trying that with the piston mod and ordinary redstone, and concluding that the code for the piston/redstone interaction was made of 24-carat stupid. Now that I think about it, Redpower probably makes it much less frustrating.

now that I have a control matrix, its super easy. Doing it with redstone was ridiculously hard, and while I was able to do it you couldn't hide the pistons away completely like you can with redpower

Anybody else noticed if RP2 3b causes strange flashing effects on screen when used with the latest version of Optifine B2? take out rp2 from mods folder load new world no flashy chunks, put rp2 back in start new world. flashing chunks come back.

you kidding? i have optifine and i have whole chunks invisible!!!!!!!i can walk on them, but i cant see them!and my fps is 9!without mods its 200-250!

lol well my problem isn't that bad but only happens with Rp2 atm with the newest version of optifine. old optifine worked fine all the other forge mods seem to have no problem with the new optifine atm still get good fps even with the glitching though, I tried to take a screen shot but for some reason the screen shots wont show the glitching. It kind of looks like checkers flashing randomly in different chunk areas
ROMs are really neat, but using the buffer as the ROM sequencer is WAY too fast. I wish there was an adjustable version of the buffer (I know there's a repeater, but it doesn't have the side outputs that the buffer has :sad.gif:)
Is it intended behavior that torches cannot be mounted on the top side of microblock posts and columns? If not, can I add a request to allow this? My preference would be behavior similar to fences.
Yep Multithread Version didn't like redpower i guess, Classic works like a champ thx for the advice
untrue - as mentioned in the optifine up, go to your video cards control panel (found in your computer control panel) and turn off "threaded optimization" some people have reported that it fixes it self on auto if it was set to on previously - otherwise just turn it off
forgive me for not putting my need to gather cobble cobble, and a cobble generater together (seems like basic math) but some times things right infront of your face are unseen(touch the front of your nose with your index finger - if you didn't know it was there by touch or discomfort, you wouldn't know it was there) So..
Checklist for bc: Autocrafting table confirmed but unique Quarry use block breakers - miners to produce ores
builders, clearers, fillers - ones buildcraft always buildcraft

There is a forge patch in the op of zombe's modpack - maybe you forgot to install it this time around?
A shelf, a real shelf:
oh.

Eloraam, I don't remember if I've asked or not, .... but is there a 1.9.5 version for RedPower? If so, let me know; I've been so busy recently, I've not been able to keep up with my usual amount of Forum Reading.....

No. There isn't and it isn't planned. She only tested it in 1.9 to test a fan version of forge, made for the 1.9 pre releases. Though she is already sharpenning the mod and killing it's bugs for a 1.0 quick release, after MineCon.

Thanks for the reply; I'll just have to do without Redstone for a while, since the "generic" stuff has never appealed to me.....
Is the ores from the redpower world ment to act in the place of their respective ore form IC2, I found that I can macerate redpower copper/tin into copper/tin dust from IC2, use redpower ores in IC2 recipes, and use IC2 Ingots in the alloy furnace
ah.. so you've become acquainted to the forge ore dictionary - isn't it nice?

Well, guess this shows we do "complain" about everything.
I'm honestly quite happy that I'm not the only person that would actually try stuff like this without the knowledge it would work beforehand.
P.S. Try RP's rubberwood in an extractor - It may be called the ore dictionary, but it's not exactly that restrictive.
Help please, I'm having this problem where my really crappy laptop can't handle the rubber trees and causes the fps to drop to about 1-5. I was wondering if there was any way to disable rubber trees or do anything to increase my fps.
Thanks in advance

ah that could be my problem then as I am using the multithreaded version. I will try the other version and see if that fixes the problem.
