Ive tried them but I struggle with frames although at the very least they make some pretty good decorations to add that industrial feel. And yeah, railcraft is pretty awesome but steves carts is more minecrafty if you ask me.
Hope the modder is doing well I dono if 1.5.2 will even come out or we gotta wait for 1.6 ... I hate all these fast updates the poor modders can't keep up @_@ ... So what do you guys think? you think it will come out for 1.5.2 or wait till 1.6? who knows really... wonder what will be added in the new update as well this is the only mod I am missing in my large set of mods I use ^^:::
I suspect we won't see a RP2 update before MC1.6.
The new forge 1 server (check Direworlf20's youtube channel), where the major forge modders play on using their new (beta) builds has moved to 1.5.2 and still no sign of RP2 on their server. Considering that the forge 1 server won't get many world restarts and that RP2 adds worldgen, I doubt we will see RP2 on that server before they update that server to MC1.6 in the future.
They can use mystcraft for the worldgen, but I think that they lost contact with eloraam...
Until it's official if RP is coming back or not does anyone know of another mod that adds marble and volcanoes?
It is official RP is coming back. I don't know of any mod that adds volcanoes, but railcraft adds quarried stone and abyssal stone which are good substitutes for Marble and Basalt.
not many here check her blog posts do they? it's linked to her twitter too.
Anyways, she said that work has lightened up to the point that she is working on it again, just a couple days ago. But these delays in updates are horrendous. If I knew how to mod, and the rp2 system, I would not mind helping her. But I learn best from mentoring, and I havent found a modder yet thats willing to help me.
Anyways, I find RP2 piping the main reason I look forwards to it still. Unfortunately minefactorys red net is superior in signal transfer atm, though it doesnt have as many of the useful peripherals that is linked with the piping and frames like RP2.
Can someone please tell me the actual space requirement for the rubber tree saplings to grow? I did search several wikis and in this thread but I didn't even find a rough number.
I don't think they grow, period. Tested on a flat world just now. Kind of sad, they are pretty darned cool, you can snugly fit a home and a factory inside one.
Not sure on the exact details, but quite a bit. They do grow, but bonemeal doesn't work on it. And they take a lot of time to grow. So far, I have seen two trees grow. One tool nearly real time days to grow. The other did in a couple of hours.
Man that sucks but I think your prolly right T-T When is 1.6 even due out? they better not have a 1.6.1 or 1.6.2 coming right after that like they did with 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 I dono I feel like some mods they could group a lot of these updates together but anyways when is this 1.6 due out again? I have heard a few things I didn't know if anyone on here knew so I could get an idea when we could expect our beloved red power to come out or at least be close to come out and such. :3

It looks like the FTB team are skipping 1.5.x as far as "official" packs go. They will release a new "beta" pack for 1.5.x with whatever mods are more-or-less stable, but the next "recommended" FTB pack will be for 1.6.x.
It appears that odd-number minor versions (1.3, 1.5) are short-lived but even-numbered ones (1.2, 1.4, 1.6) are stable for a longer period, so this decision makes sense if that is true.
Eloraam has said nothing about skipping 1.5.x for 1.6, so as far as RedPower is concerned it's all pure speculation as to whether there will be an update before 1.6 arrives. I certainly would not expect Mojang to stop fixing bugs just because of modders.
And as for 1.6.1 and 1.6.2, I think the changes for mods should be trivial, or even nonexistent if they use Forge as that handles obfuscation dynamically.
beware tick threading, it causes issues with some mods.

That was a month ago. The twitter you're referring to was posted April 17. As far as I can see no one has heard anything more recent.

I'm sure there's no need to be worried, that's just how she rolls.
Don't be. Considering how long we didn't hear from her last time (1.2.5 to 1.3/1.4), a month seems like nothing.
