The tick rate they were complaining about in the video was caused by TC3, which has since been fixed. I wish a bit that DW20 wasn't so far ahead with his videos, because it's been a bit since they updated TC3 on the server. Azanor managed to reduce the server load by a huge amount. Does one of the other devs, who streams, show the new system? He'd be more up to date. Direwolf did say on the video that a new version on TC3 was going in the next day. I think we'd get a better idea of how Eloram's system works without the server drain.
I have to agree. With how realistic Blutricity is supposed to be, it makes sense that it should actually follow a DC circuit model. Though, I do understand why this is done. It'd be horribly unbalanced to be able to upconvert the voltage through 1MV and have it arrive nearly instantly at the other end.
Distance should be the deciding factor on the time, NOT just the wire.
Bearing in mind Direwolf's videos of Pahicraft can often be uploaded a week from when they were recorded, so many things could have changed since then, like for one the server was updated to MC 1.4.2 on Sunday and all the mods got updated with that.

If you see Direwolf's video's, or some fo the other Forgecraft user's streams, you will notice that she has been working on RP2pr6, and has added a ton of new cool features. You can see that by simply looking back a couple of pages or so. Well, maybe more than a couple of few pages.
I think that she isn't coming online because she has, until now, read through every post made in her absence. That would be ensure that she knows the last unread post, and can continue from there on. I can't imagine how she will do it though!
Yet nobody is sure if Eloraam is even a real person.
AFAIK, there is no one here who had ever seen or heard her.
Probably she is just virtual person, and mod is written by a crowd.
Or she is somebody well-known by another name.

That's exactly what I was thinking. She said that she reads every message and tries to reply to everyone, so considering she needs to read a back-load of useless messages about speculation on the next release, she is probably going to start anew when she push out pr6.

I already have visions of a wind farm around ~200 with a mag tube all the way to the ground for machines down there and two ender chests up top to feed the power requirements of any frame machines.

She's not a real person, this was revealed before. It's a bunch of content creators working together with a persona to front their collaboration. Direwolf said as much and it was discussed much earlier in this thread
Well but if Eloraam is multiple persons they need to have some kind of hive-consciousness, since whenever one of the persons gets to know something all others are aware of that knowledge too. Really scary O.o

An interesting theory, for sure. It could explain why people have completely different conversations with eloraam (such as the whole debacle of "I'm good friends with eloraam" "no im good friends with her and she said you're not!"
impossible, the wind mills are a new feature of redpower and it has not been released yet (shows no signs of being released at all anytime soon, specialy now 1.4.3 is comming out)

Automatic wheat, tree, cactus, reed farms. Mob farming, flying, making charged creepers, enchanting, repairing tools (even enchanted), duplicate items, bore mining. I could go on, but it sounds as if you never really learned enough about it to make such a statement in the first place.

If anything, I anticipate the release of Thaumcraft 3 more than the release of Redpower pr6. It's one of the most unique out of the Forgecraft mods: rather than trying to do the same things in a different way, Azanor is trying to make it different.
