actually, marble doesnt block anything or make ores less common, it can only replace stone when generating
I haven't looked into the details but that is how I have encountered Marble blocking caves but if it is like you say then I just assume it's just a coincidence =P but I still think that marble could have the option to be disabled until it is an usable block
I've developed a system that needs a new type of chest. You see, i need to pull blocks in an order while at the same time receiving new block behind it, but with how chests are right now my system runs really slow cause it needs to wait till the chest is empty to load the next set of blocks to be organized by the sorter.
So, Eloraam, could you make a queued chest for me pretty pwease? *puppy dog eyes*
how is marble not a usable block... a light coloured non-grey stone, with all the subblock combinations.. (marble pillars do frame a doorway exceptionally well)
I really don't understand why you people give me so much hate for speaking up for a small group of people who just does not like the marble, we are not against you guys. you like marble I'm okey with that, I don't hate marble, just think it should either be a little more rare or something but if I'd have the option to turn it off in-game I would, but that does not mean that you guys should suffer from what I want =P just try to understand, if you don't like Pepsi and a friend of yours likes Pepsi and he tells you you're wrong and you should love Pepsi like him, doesn't that make things kinda unfair?
The round things are nikolite, while the purple boxes are rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and silver.
Also could someone please tell me why I can't post pictures?
I'm wondering what will happen with emeralds in redpower now that emeralds are also in vanilla minecraft. Are you going to not generate your own emeralds, still generate your own emeralds but treat the 2 as seperate ores, or have them function interchangably (ie: like with ore dictionary)?
i want to use a light sensor to control that one of my frame builds operates during the day only because it's powered by solar panels but even on last mode (almost closed) the light sensor only stops emitting a redstone signal in the middle of the night but the solar panels stop produce enough energy at dusk as they are supposed to be... am i doing something wrong?
i was doing something wrong because i did set up a light sensor which powered a redpower lamp (to test the light sensor) but the light of the lamp was strong enough to keep the light sensor activated...
how often do i need to shift-right-click the light sensor so that it distinguishes between day and night?
I don't remember the number of clicks, but fully closed is what did it for me, last I experimented with them.

There was a discussion of this a few pages back. No conclusive word from Eloraam, but our conclusion was that a name change is the biggest change Eloraam would implement.

actually, Elo did say she is just gonna rename them to something like RGB beryl or RGB corundum
Um... Hello. I'm just wondering - has Eloraam just dissapeared? She wrote somethig about update to 1.3, but does she develop this mod now? Can I wait for new cool features, generators, lasers, new computer recipe and etc.?
The site you have chosen to upload to is not a nice one for external sites to link into. You might want to chose a different one that easily allows you to get code to display your images on external sites.
Thanks!
Also for some reason when I am in the overworld, I get around 10-15 fps with redpower installed. I normally get 30-40. If I uninstall redpower, my fps goes back to normal. I have tested this with a clean world and the same thing happens, so I doubt its all the machines I have. Any ideas why this would happen?
Thanks!

While chunks are loading you'll get a bit of a decrease, as Redpower adds worldgen. But I can't think of any reason why that drop would last.
Does anybody know what I would have to do to make a plugin that can interact with miniblocks?
I want to basically just make a simple tool that can left click a block that has hacksawed miniblocks in it, then right click dirt or anything and have it end up with the same arrangement of miniblocks.
But the miniblocks do not use datavalues like I expected, so is there any way for a plugin to hook into the code for the miniblocks to manipulate them (like copy/paste)?
(By the way, if the simple tool works, then I would probably also be able to fork VoxelSniper to allow widescale smoothing and shape manipulation at the miniblock level of detail, too)
I was trying to figure out the timing of frame motors (so I can move one immediately after the other) and the above code gives me the result I was looking for when I do "1 PULSE 2 PULSE", but when I add "30 TICKS" to the begining of that I get a pause between the motor movements.
So "1 PULSE 2 PULSE" works,
and "30 TICKS 1 PULSE 2 PULSE" not only gives me the pause I want at the begining, but adds a small pause between the two motor movements. (Which, obveously, I don't want.)
So is the problem the result of my coding (which is what I assume) or some RedPower bug?
edit: nvm, I discovered that adding "30 TICKS" makes it want to compile it first rather than just run. Apparently, it takes about 36 ticks to compile, so if I do "37 TICKS" (or anything over 36) it runs as I would expect it to. Not sure if that's just a "personality quirk" of FORTH or a RedPower bug, but at least now I know how to avoid it.
What type of handsaw are you trying to use?
RP chem? I must have missed that...

Ah, that must have been previously. My bad.
I thought a lot of forge mod blocks were breaking with purple particles lately.
Thanks!
