Would it not be RedPower 4 or something by now with all the minor fixes and Major add-ons?
How bad do you need to keep a number in a name ?
The version naming scheme is at the discretion of the mod author as long as it makes sense who gives a flying ...... This isn't RP3 or RP4 because they are minor fixes and major addons to the base RP2 which still hasn't had a full release we have only ever been using pre-release betas
I am making a new install of Minecraft with Redpower, and I have all the parts, but the micro blocks are not showing up in creative. Does anyone know why?

Hence my point of how bad do you really need to keep a number in the name.
I understand the whole naming/number system of a version which is why I brought it u, it urks me seeing pre-release as
if a name was ment to stay for some odd reason. No one started adding pre-release untill MC had put it in the name.
Back when MC was doing its pre-release crap it was because the weekly-updates were not understood buy new players
and they thought it was official update and started spamming the email system and other stuff for "beta" things that were not official. that is why they went to pre. anounced a number version example 1.8 and stayed with it till release of 1.8
after going "gold" they changed the name of the weekly updates "pre" to snapshot.

Eloraam has a vision of the feature set for RP2, I vaguely recall that the sortron\managers are tier4? out of 5 or 6? which is why she is still using the pre tag for RP, it's not finished in her eyes and since her eyes are the only ones that count as far as the naming conventions go, there you have it.
This is odd... As every version of tekkit/Technic ive played has included Red Power in the pack. Would seem odd that a modpack that big and popular would have included it under Eloraam's nose?
Exactly, just goes to show how incredibly rude, stupid, and obnoxious the tekkit mod pack developers are.

True, it has been in many version of tekkit and technic, it doesn't make it any more right or less legal for them doing so, actually it is illegal, and i'm pretty sure Eloraam knew about it.
Lets clear things up before we start another Flame war and moderators have to come in AGAIN
-It will be called RP2. The changes are significant and the improvements and additions are too big to be a sub release. It may not be exactly what Elo wants, but it never ends up that way
-The OP does not have dozens of broken links, the site is under maintenance and will probably be up soon (nothing to do with Redpower whatsoever)
-Mod packs that have included this mod are playing it a bit risky. Elo hasn't had time to run around the community in the recent months so any pack could have RP right under her nose. Should they continue so when she starts looking around, they will face hell....
Does anybody have a good tutorial on using RP Array (now merged w/ logic)? I've looked here, but it only has complex things. Currently all I know how to use are null cells. But then again, don't we all :P?

Everyone knows that tekkit and technic are the most ILLEGAL mod pack out there, thats why people like the FTB crew are against it. It may be big, because it came out first, but the truth is it is a monstrosity, and every mod maker who has had their work stolen and put up on tekkit knows what im talking about. Eloraam and others have EXPLICITLY said that they didnt want their mod in the pack, yet its still in there.
I can't understand why so many modders don't let people include their mods on mod packs... if I manage to create an famous mod, I probably will be the first "liberal" modder.

If I made a famous mod, I would not. It would be my endless hours of modding, my tears and sweat and my headache of hearing all the nagging from people that think that updating the mod is as easy as spending an hour in front of my computer. I would only allow people that actually worth it to include it in their pack, which is definitely not Tekkit crew.
I am quite looking forward to the next installment of RP2 to add to my blend of mods that resembles technic (I do a homebrew so I can add a couple of things not in technic, but I have technic so I can see their mod list and get a idea on how to shoehorn them together and get them to work) . But I am quite happy to wait for it to be done properly rather than a rush job (which almost always suck as far as mods are concerned.).
Ha! No she didn't. I don't see a little note that says donators get mod pack rights.

What makes you think I was ever being reasonable? I'm sitting here with a pile of guns while wearing a flamethrower, and you thought that, at some point, I was being reasonable?
That depends on whether the money was sent explicitly with a note requesting permission, or whether it was given as a donation.
Granted, the acceptance still could be read as implicit permission either way.
And I believe the definition of DONATION has been given many, many times in this thread.

half the mods in Tekkit/technic have not got permission its why most mod makers have denounced them as a group and support FTB take for the best example SirSeng made Bees explode in tekkit because he told them you can not use my mod and they did it anyway same as they have with many mods because they feel there entited to use public mods in there pack the ultimate example is when Slowpoke went to the tekkit team and offered them the Full support of all mod authors who had told slowpoke to speek for them and the manager of tekkit said "we don't need you we are allready legit" ignoreing the request of the authors and so on

Well, you can argue this from a legal standpoint, where tekkit is wrong but unlikely to ever have anything happen. You can also argue from a moral standpoint where they were wrong. If Eloraam lead them to believe that she wouldn't care anymore after they gave her money, but then she turns around and cares anyways, then she is now morally in the wrong as well. Arguments work both ways.
Honestly, if it weren't for technic/tekkit, most mod pack makers would only have to ask for permission. Now, half the modders just yell at you for asking.

I have NEI and they still don't show up. I can craft them though.

she actually never did, she just stopped *****ing about it after they bribed her
point still stands, they should have asked first
