It is the first mod I put into my bag when I start up a new JAR file.
I use a LOT of MODS, and I know there are bound to be conflicts, and I got one. I just discovered RedPowerLighting and threw it into my /mods folder, and now it is THROWing an exception:

I may be wrong but it looks to me like you dont have forge installed correctly, download the newest version and install into your minecraft jar.
edit: bah I am a slow typer and Eloraam beat me to the punch
Eloraam, this is an amazing mod. I've been playing around with it for a few days, and just now encountered a NullPointerException in your code. I'm not sure how to reproduce it yet, I was simply powering a Filler with a vanilla torch to fill an area which may or may not have some of your wiring scattered in it. My world now crashes upon startup with the following relevant info:

I'll try to recover my world and update this post with more info.
Edit: Oh yeah, using the RedstonePowerFramework if that matters at all.
Edit 2: Ah-ha! Red Alloy Wire ended up in my filler, in BC code, at buildcraft.api.FillerPattern.fill(FillerPattern.java:42):
Oh dear! I never expected onItemUse to get called with a null *player* field. An item getting used without a player using it. How perverse.
Funny you mention that...because your auto-tree harvester, to be worth building, ALSO needs an auto sapling PLANTER system (either a separate machine or a function of the same thing). And a planter will need to place items without a player doing it...
Also, wondering if Cover Plates are intended to not be able to be placed over Logic Gates?
Also, wondering if Logic Gates are intended to not be able to be placed over Cover Plates?
Both should work fine. 1.6.0 has a bug with cobblestone plates specifically, try another material.

That's a very good point. I'll definitely need a planter of some sort at some point.
But I still think you underestimate the massive size of the rubber trees. They're HUGE! Pop up 2 or 3 of those, and it takes forever to harvest. In fact, taking down the towering canopy was the inspiration to make this now, rather than waiting until I actually have the infrastructure to support making the RedPower Machines pack.
Considering the way it grows, though, I'm considering making it an inferior wood, perhaps craftable only into sticks. I'm not sure, though.
Ah well, if nothing else, now I have something to test Blutricity with. Just have to make a generator of some sort now.
personally I'll be sticking with the forge based mods, sure fancy worlds are fun to visit, but don't add much to the basic game beyond new landscapes... where as new toys are always fun in sandbox games. (found that free placing covers makes for very economical walls, 3 blocks and a little dirt scaffolding outside the room, makes a 3x3 wall quite easily :smile.gif:)
Well I have lots of new landscapes coming too! :smile.gif:
one small idea, probably been suggested previously, would it be possible to place redlogic blocks onto walls / upside down in the ceiling, to allow for circuits to be hidden in walls rather than relying on hiding them in the floor?
That's already possible, as long as you're running 1.6.0.
Hope so I love all the circuits your mods let us build, the only thing missing is something constructive to use them with.
Yes. The tree harvester on the previous page is the first of them. It won't get released for a rather long while - right now, it doesn't cost anything to run, doesn't have a crafting recipe, and spews items on the ground. Still, I *am* working on making a Machines pack, it just needs RedPower World and a few other things.

I would think instead of making rubber trees out of inferior wood you might be able to either make it something you actually have to go out and find and/or a tree that doesn't just pop int existance but somehow grows gradually maybes starting with immature wood and then expanding as the wood grows into more and more mature woods.

also on page 88 it seems to crash but i can't seem to get an error report for it :sad.gif:
This is a bit of an unorthodox method, but ow well.. Everyone has mcpatcher right?, there is a test minecraft button in the mcpatcher interface.. reproduce the crash while playing in this option and tada.. error report
Are those texture replacements for BC?
Or a crane?
Neither!
A BC auto-tree-harvester? :3
That's much closer to correct!
But the right answer is a RPM auto-tree-harvester! :smile.gif:
It is the first mod I put into my bag when I start up a new JAR file.
I use a LOT of MODS, and I know there are bound to be conflicts, and I got one. I just discovered RedPowerLighting and threw it into my /mods folder, and now it is THROWing an exception:

Can I get some help interpreting this?
Also, wondering if Cover Plates are intended to not be able to be placed over Logic Gates?

My Favorite Texture Pack is OVO's Rustic Pack:
Too old a version of Minecraft Forge, or not installed at all.
I may be wrong but it looks to me like you dont have forge installed correctly, download the newest version and install into your minecraft jar.
edit: bah I am a slow typer and Eloraam beat me to the punch

I'll try to recover my world and update this post with more info.
Edit: Oh yeah, using the RedstonePowerFramework if that matters at all.
Edit 2: Ah-ha! Red Alloy Wire ended up in my filler, in BC code, at buildcraft.api.FillerPattern.fill(FillerPattern.java:42):
stackToPlace.getItem().onItemUse(stackToPlace, null, world, xSlot, ySlot + 1, zSlot, 0);
which invoked your code and caused the NullPointerException.
Well I have lots of new landscapes coming too! :smile.gif:
That's already possible, as long as you're running 1.6.0.
Yes. The tree harvester on the previous page is the first of them. It won't get released for a rather long while - right now, it doesn't cost anything to run, doesn't have a crafting recipe, and spews items on the ground. Still, I *am* working on making a Machines pack, it just needs RedPower World and a few other things.
On the more sane point, your tree harverster is awesome. It allows both to have trees and don't stop their growth because of all the wires and pipes.

WTB froth at the mouth pool of drool emoticon
I would think instead of making rubber trees out of inferior wood you might be able to either make it something you actually have to go out and find and/or a tree that doesn't just pop int existance but somehow grows gradually maybes starting with immature wood and then expanding as the wood grows into more and more mature woods.
Whoa, totally missed that in the first post - Remedied - installed, and trying again:
